What uniques ideas would truly be unique?

A few ideas I've kicked around:


Gauntlets with, among other mods:
"Support gems in this item support your basic attack."


A belt with a name like "So-and-so's Scabbard". Its interesting mods would be:
"This item has two sockets"
and
"Gems in this item support attack gems socketed in your one-handed swords."


A staff with the following:
"This weapon counts as a staff, an axe, a mace, and a sword."


Boots with
"Ghost Walk Effect" (visual effect in which you appear to be hovering 4-6 inches off the ground, with a walk animation out of sync with your movespeed)
and
"You do not trigger traps"
and
"You are immune to ground effects" (Ground effects are things like "burning ground" and so on)


A Helm with
"Maps and strongboxes you open have a 20% chance to contain one additional rogue exile."
and
"You take 50% more damage from rogue exiles."


A Flask with
"This item has one socket."
and
"Cast socketed spells on consumption."


Armor with
"You take 40% less reflected damage."


A weapon with
"Animates a copy of this weapon when you kill a rare enemy" (the copy behaves like a level-appropriate "Animate Weapon" as if cast on the weapon in question, but you still keep your weapon)


A shield with
"-15% chance to block"
"50% less defenses from shield"
"This shield counts as equipped while in an alternate weapon slot."


Traps/mines become visible minions that can move. Mines will try to 'stick' onto enemies until you detonate them. IIRC, they only have 1 hp so maybe add on a flat health bonus.

unequi 2 hander

ads 1000 life
40% all risist
400-900 psycal damge
cant equip chest armour
40% increase attack speed
3% life steal
all your intel and dex converted to STR ( no intel and dex at all )
imume to chaos damge
25% block chance
+2800 armour

all item slots must be equiped whit a unequi item ( inc potion slots ) for any of the stats the be active

real powerfull mods in general
big ass draw back ( no intel or dex based gems / items)
and no chest armour
and no yellow items :)
also no normal pots :)

Unique Necklace

Your health is removed/cannot be reserved.
100% of damage is taken from mana before life.
Your character dies when your mana is zero.
Removing this item kills your character, just for flavor.

That could leave to immortality. enough mana regen would leave you only vulnerable to 1 shots.
Unique Skill Gem: Wisdom

Does exactly what you think does.





Unique Skill Gem: Vendor

Level 1 Gem, can only be cast on a white item. Destroys the item and adds 1 scroll fragment to your inventory.

Level 2 Gem, can also be used on a magic item. Destroys the item and adds 1 transmute shard to your inventory.

Level 3 Gem, can also be used on a rare item. Destroys the item and adds 1 alteration shard to your inventory.

Level 4 Gem, can also be used on a unique item. Destroys the item and adds 1 alchemy shard to your inventory.
Envelope - Jeweled Foil

Blah Blah Damage
Another item cannot be equipped in offhand
Created animated version of equipped weapon on kill

Basically would be a weapon that animates its self every time you kill something. Flavor text would be something like "For I'm never truly alone"

Got two map ideas as well.

Before the Fall (Break Up?)

As you progress through the map you'd face an "old" version of Alira, Kratlyn and Oak. After you've defeated them all you'd enter another compound where you fight all three of them at once. Instead of just using DD and summoning Zombies from a kettle Alira could use Summon Raging Spirits. Kratlyn could use Viper Strike in addition to Flicker Striking. Oak could even use Ground Slam instead of just Leap Slam and the occasional Sweep. They could possibly have their own Vaal Skills as well. I think it would be pretty cool personally but it's whatever.


Destiny's Tribulation

This map would consist of pretty linear path with few trash mobs in between rooms. At the end of each hallway a fork will be present presenting you with a riddle (or clue) indicating what type of boss resides in the room. At the end of the map there will be a final boss with every primary mod the previous bosses had.


Didn't explain these all that well but the general idea should get through anyways.

Kaom took a different approach.



Probably some life/strength/armor/fire damage but that's the important stat.

BreakingHearts/RhoaHood (Standard) | MaidCarrion/MessyLittleBow (Mercenaries)
Basically its a 2in1 unique. Weapon and Armour in one item.


-The gem in last socket of a main hand weapon can be linked with a gem in the first socked of armour chest. (sockets of main hand weapon and chest must be 6 linked)
-35% increased mana cost for skills in 6th main hand socket and 1st armour chest socket
-10% decreased attack speed/casting speed of skills in 6th and 1st sockets when hit
-lvl 2 empower for skills in 2nd and 4th sockets(sockets 2nd and 4th must be white)
-gain +100 life when 1st and last socket is red
-gain +100 mana when last sockets are blue
-gain lvl 12 elements of purity when four sockets are blue, four sockets are red and four sockets are green(sockets of main hand weapon and chest must be 6linked)
