Running non Steam client as admin. No firewall issue, poe is an exception in my firewall. VPN I still get the same error: Unable to connect to patching server.

DID some research. http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/29858/page/2 follow this. i think a post by thomas at GGG has a way to get around the problem atm. im allocating space

Uninstalled the game, reinstalled, restarted my system, deleted the GGG folder completely, and same issue. Really starting to believe this is an overwhelmed update server issue.

Installed the Steam version, no issues works perfectly. The issue is with the stand alone client or the update servers.
