Hi baconface1,

If you've already downloaded the patch, could you please check your Path of Exile folder for a file called PathOfExile.tmp? If it's there, could you try renaming your PathOfExile.exe to PathOfExile_old.exe and PathOfExile.tmp to PathOfExile.exe?

That has been known to help in cases like this.

I currently have the game uninstalled and I cannot connect to the patching server once I download the installer. Any help/ideas on what to do with that issue? Thanks.
i dont have those in my path of exile folder. i just have two sub folders that are DailyDealCache and MiniMap then 2 files one is config settings and the other is production_login.credentials.
I'm able to connect to the patch server and launch now. I didn't change anything, it just works now (at least for me). Try launching again if you haven't tried recently.
still not for me
me neither
Hi there,

Could you all please confirm that you're running the game/Steam as an administrator, that your firewalls aren't doing anything that might interfere with the game's updating process and that you don't have anything running in the background that might be using up your bandwidth.

With connection issues, reinstalling doesn't generally help, but using a VPN to download the patch might. Please note that your download speed may be affected by the VPN you use. For minimal latency I recommend trying to find one close to your actual location.

Please note that not everyone in this thread may be having the same issue, merely similar symptoms. I recommend either creating your own thread or emailing us at support@grindinggear.com if you'd like us to assist you more personally.
