unable to connect to patching server

when clicking on .exe its saying unable to connect to patching server, then i have to close, has been happening for the last hour and a half

Same problem for me. So I tried installing through Steam as an alternative which got me to the log in screen, but then "Unable to connect to login server".

tried to reinstall aswell and nothing changed same error still pops up=

I too am having this issue. I am getting an "Unable to connect to patching server" message in the middle of the POE launcher. I have tried uninstalling too, same thing is still happening. I cannot download/patch the game. Please help/advise. I have never had this issue in the past, either with POE or with any other game.

I'm guessing that since there is heavy server load today they have locked the patching/login servers to new connections and we just have to wait till they unlock them. Would have been nice if they mentioned something somewhere.

Same issue, even tried the VPN fix, and still no luck.
