Mjolner is on the list, the atziri flasks too, what else ? do you think low life will be nerfed on any way ? auras ? post your predictions.

Whenever they change a skill, it affects all the gems. The only one that was different was Item Quantity because they simply deleted it (from the possible drops). So unless they delete CoC (which I don't think they will), there's no reason to do that.

+1 on atziri flasks, bought dozens in preparation. Also think CoE will get nerfed but I don't really see how. Maybe reduction to the ES roll like they did to shavs?

I hadn't thought of the flask for nerfs... I mean it's really good but I can't see them changing it.



I hope they do tho, got 30 something perfect ones stashed up. (+ hundreds of random ones lol)






The list of possible nerf targets imo:

- Crown of Eyes (multiple options on how to hit it)
- Pain Attunement (specifically - interaction wih CoE)
- Blood Rage (!!! - specifically the quality bonus - we abuse it up to 47%q with a lvl4 Enhance and a 23q BR)
- Wrath/Anger/ etc possibly a full aura rework (up to and including aura effect/reservation nodes)
- dagger nodes
- Spectral Throw
- "Surgeon's..."
- Atziri's Acuity
- Fyndel (Fkin nerf him alrdy GGG ty)
- Arctic Armor (trust me that sh*t is insane you just might not be on the bandwagon yet)

- Mjolner. (I am a skeptic but it makes the list)



I won't pretend to know anything about what they'll end up changing (if anything at all!) but if they do decide to alter some stuff, I feel like that's a reasonable list of what might occur.

COE will probably get a haircut. One thing I think would be great is if they switched Spectral Throw to be 2h weapon only - so if you want the safety benefit of turning mele into ranged, you also can't have the defensive benefit of a shield.

I kind of like the concept of ST being 2handed only. By restricting it in such a fashion they would make it much easier to balance to where they want it - they could even buff it and it could remain a top tier skill, working to encourage people to play 2handed builds. (and fulfilling the spirit of what they envisioned when making it much better imo)


Right now it's not too powerful because of its inherent strength (though its damage modifiers are formidable, sure) - it's because daggers were never built to be a long range weapon with 0 drawbacks. (that also allow an OP shield slot to be equipped) Daggers are balanced around being a tiny range melee weapon. Combine that with the huge synergy gained from using CoE and attack speed to scale the CoE and auras and you find your true culprit in the OP builds we play today.


The biggest lynchpin in the end is Crown of Eyes + low life bonuses. If ST and daggers were disassociated by the change you mentioned, they would have a much easier time getting builds like low life CoE Windripper and Wander to where they want them to be without silly ST/daggers clouding the issue.

I find it odd that "low-life" gives any benefit whatsoever. I mean, it doesn't actually mean you are running around with low life...it just means you are using ES instead of life, and ES actually gives larger amounts. COE could actually be a really cool item opening up lot's of different ways to make a mele build. But there really isn't any reason for Pain Attunement to exist while using ES isn't a lesser version of using life.
