DIED BY DESYNC AGAIN

PoE is not a free to play game lol !!!!!!

PoE business model is pay for luxury. Play, get hooked and when you are enjoying it, just add the cherry on top by buying cosmetic things. It's as good as any other model, but it is not really free to play. They are making money out of the MTX-

And on average, probably a 60% of the population in the game already payed the price for a commercial game release. Don´t be fucking naive, and if you are too young or you just don´t know how this works please don´t comment here. I payed a full release of this game already buying MTX, that I would keep on buying problably during the next 10 years if they would be serious about their product already.

I am starting to consider them as not as smart people as I thought they were. If you can´t keep on your business, please leave the boat before it sinks by it´s own weight. This is starting to look like they are having fun off their player base who are spending money on their product.

there not forcing u to buy the cosmetics ur spending your own money the game itself is free to play unless u consider internet bill ;/ so stop raging and quit already no one cares lol

yeah you need a buffer of hit points just for desync protection. i recently upgraded my ES for a total grand of 9K ES.
This way depending on the monster type, you can get half second more survivavility ;) aaah i'm getting around it! i am building around it ! wait ... i love desync now !!!!! where do i throw the cash ????

I've died a number of times now on invasion with several chars being 80+. Not one time did I die to desync. Have I desync'd, of course; but you can definitely work around it and its quite recognizable if you've played the game some. I'm not defending desync, but it's here to stay and I don't think it's as huge of a deal as its made out to be.

It's generally quite recognizable. It just takes that 1 special moment to die.

Sometimes desync and rubber banding get lumped together.

I died the other day in a shrine map when I went into a cell, a bunch of frogs leapt in after me, some undying evangelists and a corrupting blood rare. ran out (not with potion) turned around started killing... turns out I never made it out of the cell. Was just dead. No time to /oos.

It happens and it sucks. Couple these particular instances with the limited time I have and I'll likely never play hardcore.
Pacific (GMT -8) Time
I've also wondered why the /oos line command (or macro) can desync it, but the game can't somehow incorporate that same logic automatically.

I'm also wondering what really causes the desync, technically speaking, since it seems to be quite variable. Some days I don't notice it a all, and at other times it's quite horrendous. This past weekend was baaaaaad. Trying to play in the race events with a level 1 character, no armor and no health and repeatedly being killed by masses of cannibals that "apparently" were still steps behind me...not sure how to combat that. Obviously it's not high-complexity gear or skills desyncing it, since I was running at .01 MPH with 2 pieces of armor, 1 weapon and 1 skill. There can't be a more benign set of parameters, but even so I got yo-yoed to my death several times. Now imagine how much fun it was trying to snatch eggs with turbo Rhoas all around. (Hint: Not much.)

I'm not saying it can't happen. I was just pointing out, at least in my case, it's quite rare to die to it if take precautions. The instance you explained, I probably would've hit my oos key after trying to run out of that room you mentioned. There is a high chance that you're going to be stunned in that scenario w/o realizing it yet, causing the desync. Also have to be careful taking sharp corners at a room. Again, I'm not defending having to cope with desync.

I agree that races sometimes seem to exaggerate the desync issue. I believe this is leveraged by a latency issue; the game catches up and the desync becomes obnoxiously apparent.

Take your precautions to desync ... it´s around the corner ( specially on the Shrine cells corners )

Nobody's saying its a BS excuse and it only happens to noobs. People are saying he either learns to deal with it or quit because it's not gonna go away. You didn't see havoc throwing a tantrum about it.
