DIED BY DESYNC AGAIN

I have since long accepted the fact that desync wont go away and that it is a part of the game. Every time you click on that invasion banner and create a new character you should know that too.

What I cant accept is how fcking lame GGG has treated this subject over the past year. They talk about how they are working on it and then they just put the lid on for like 9 months and refuse to even mention what they are atleast trying to improve when it comes to desync.

But I will tell you why: GGG cant afford to fix desync. They must put all man hours in MTX and content (read uniques mostly). Remember that this is a small indie company that made a huge game, we should never forget that.

Only hope they learned their lesson and possibly in future sequals with different code work around it.

But if desync cant be fixed why bother to update with new content if it will be just worse and worse ... I wanted to play next league but as i see i will just save my nerves for something else.

And to all that are saying, it can be avoidable like dont use this spell, dont go into pack and run out without OOS ..so why the fuck this game is not still in BETA when i cant play , or use half of the stuff , why they are in the game in the first place ...

small indie company or not ..

Because they still have salaries to pay?

If you ever ran your own company you would understand, money doesnt grow on trees. And game development costs tons of money. And for an indie company like GGG it is not possible to set MTX and content development aside (which brings funds in aka the cash cow) to focus on "fixing/improving the code".

We are basically talking about two options:
1. Implement MTX and content on an already "finished platform" = small cost, money in instant.
2. Trying to fix desync and rework code = huge cost, no instant money.

Now, as a GGG CEO/MD, you pick the right strategy for the company survival.

Good point. However:
I would think of how we are now and how this project will look line in the next 2, 3 years.
Of course running company is a risk , especially focusing on games.
But if something is broken its broken.
Rather start a new project..

Chrom, they have a point that different builds and play styles can reduce the desync problems. I stopped playing a couple of very fun builds because of desync and that coupled with the stupid death penalty made those builds unplayable. So I suggest you try some different builds.

To the foolish people insulting Chrom and telling him to leave, desync is a real problem. Being insulting and mean is not going to fix it. The only way it is going to get fixed is if GGG believes that the player base doesn't like it and thinks it needs to be fixed. So my view is that you are the ones that are hurting the game and the community.

To GGG, fix desync and if you can't do it immediately then just disable certain skills until it is fixed or alternatively, fix the stupid infuriating death penalty.
Over 430 threads discussing labyrinth problems with over 1040 posters in support (thread # 1702621) Thank you all! GGG will implement a different method for ascension in PoE2. Retired!
I totally agree with chromafunk - the desync at this point is inexcusable. And for you half-witted fanboys, well, you're a dime a dozen like with any other game's legion of lemmings.

Grow some balls and/or a brain - tell the devs to fix their bad design and stop sending them money until they do, or quit playing and uninstall. THAT'S the only thing that'll get their attention.

I like PoE, but I haven't played in weeks/months. I also stopped spending money on it long before that. So I come back to see that it's the same ol' shit.

Nope, I'll rather just adapt to desync and have fun with the game :)
GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.
Is it true that you can bypass desync by building an ubertank ... the more mitigation and quantity of hitpoints, the more you save your ass when facing desync. But ... that is NOT a solution.

Taking precautions is ok, but you can get caught offguard anytime. Building around it is fucked up. Not using "such skills" is not an answer or a valid excuse. The skills are there to be played, otherwise GGG should remove them from game.

Same goes with discharge. People complains about discharge because it lags a lot, specially on boss fights. I don´t understand why they release skills that are not viable due the current state of the game, honestly. The latest skills released are laggy as hell a.k.a molten shell.

The two notable and useful movement skills on the game make you prone to desync. You can´t use the maximum power of those skills ( spamming them a lot when you have a lot of IAS ) because you can desync if you do. That means your quality of life in the game is decreased. You can´t abuse the hardcore way such movement skill because you can die if you do.

I played some Palace's today, and well ... the fix is really a fix. The entrance to the sceptre is amazingly fast and smooth now. I think if they can fix enviromental performance like that, they can also fix the lag on skills.

They keep on introducing stuff that breaks the game even more instead of fixing the core of the problem.

Oh and by the way .... a lot of people talking shit here like "adapt to it" or "don´t use this skill" or the other bullshit don´t even have a level 90 character on any league. Please guys, go and die for this a couple times at level 92 with the 10% death penalty chasing you. Being at level 80 is not the same as trying to level at level 93. At that level, it will take you exactly 5 78 maps to recover the lost XP. It will cost you money, time, and RAGE.

You better get some keyboard replacement, buy two or three of the same type so you can keep on playing after rage-destroying them when you die at level 93. I can´t imagine what is dying to desync at level 99 or in hardcore league at 85+

This is all I got to say after a couple of days reading your posts.

Ah yes yes, so the players have to adapt to this shit instead of the developer adapt the server to the players? NICE LOGIC M8- not

PS: I red some of the wall of text that chromafunk wrote on page 1 and i agree with evrything.

PPS: While I was in another game I asked if any one played PoE and wanted to party up. A guy said he stoped playing after dieing by desync at high level in hardcore league. I would have stopped playing at the first death.
