Today i made the early switch from pyhsical DW Duelist to Elemental Cleave. (I am Act 3 Cruel atm)
So far so good ... my current Stats are:

- 3100 HP
- 1200 Armor (1600 with Determination)
- 800 Evasion (2500 with Grace)
- 32%, 42%, 40% Resistance (Always able to put in Purity with 20% more Resistance if needed)
- 500 DPS Cleave (800 with Wrath and Anger - my Wrath is only Level 3 cause of low Intelligent)

--> Overall i have a low DPS cause i dont have rly good Weapons and my Rings/Amulett dont have Elemental DMG Stats. But i can facetank nearly everything. (Granite Flask always in the pocket)

My Passive Tree:

So i am thinking about where to go next ... there are 4 Possibilities in my eyes:

1. Going Iron Reflexes -> i dont want to go it right now, cause it would reduce the Effect of my "Leather and Steel" Skill (from Duelist Area) and i will drop them later + 45% Chance to Evade Attacks is actual pretty good. (The question is if 1600 Armor will be enough in Merciless?)

2. Going Resolute Technique -> More DMG and static DMG cause i cant miss and with 5% Crit Strike Chance i dont miss that much here. (I read somewhere RT pushs my "real" DPS too? Is that true and if its true about which dps numbers we are talking?)

3. Taking the 3 Elemental Weapon DMG Nodes in the middle tree for more DPS + the Resistance before -> I dont rly need Resistance at the Moement and i have to spend at least 6 Points to get them all -> pretty much to afford.

4. Going from Templar Area -> 2 possible ways: 1. the Elemental DMG near Amplify + the Manareg (My Mana is ok with 3% Mana Leech Gem - even with only 120 Mana left on having 4 Auras i dont go oom using 1 Potion) 2. Going left and picking up all the Life Nodes on the way to " Static Blows" - Big Investment and i think 3100 Life are enough for the Moment and i would get more from DMG cause of Life Leech.

Whats in your opinion the, for my Situation, "best" way? Or did i miss some more opportunities? (I made the important questions thicker so you have a better overview)

I would go for something like this as a duelist: Passive skill tree build

I have always been wondering why don't you take the elementalist node at the templar area? +10 int and +10% elemental damage.

Something like that will be my Endgamebuild, but my Question was, which Keystone i should pick up next? (Resolute Technique, Iron Reflexes, direction to Static Blows, or WED Nodes in the middle)
Anybody has Numbers about which amount RT, 30% WED and Static Blows pushing your DPS?
Would there be any kind of difference between +elemental damage and + elemantal damage with weapons?

To me it would appear that if I had +10% elemental damage then it would work on all elemental damages (both spells and weapons) but if I have +10% elemental damage with weapons then it would ONLY work with the weapons.

Am I correct on this?

Thanks in advance!

I got this on my first chaos of the ilvl 77 corsair:

Any opinions on my witch build posted back a page or so? I ran through a bunch of build possibilities and it is a stretch to get near 300% +HP. I think I will have to settle for a little under 200% by mid-80's anyhow.

Yes, if the damage type is not specified its global, this applies to all of the passive tree, if a passive says "with weapons or X weapon", it works only with what is specified, if nothing is specified it works with anything, as in, its global.

This would be the optimal setting for a witch:Passive skill tree build

Hey, im currently leveling a templar with your build but I just found this
on my ranger and was wondering if it would be useful for it or if the 5 or 6 linked gems would be better. thanks for the info in advance!

6 link would be better for this build, grats on it though.

But if you manage to get a 5l-6l 2 hand sword with high attack speed and big triple elemental damage you can probably pull off some big dps with this setup as well.

No, that won't work for me at this point. I am already down at the Duelist area, but came through the center of the tree. See my post at the top here: link

From the tree of my current build, so far I have just kept going left past Static Blows to get HP and will probably grab SB now.

I am thinking more about taking the 3x 10% Weapon Ele Dmg and Iron Reflexes down at Duelist, but just not sure yet. I want to have the dual wield Cleave as a major feature of my build but not focused on just spamming that.

I realize why you typically don't want to use Hatred, but I want to consider the option of taking the 5% chance to freeze node in Shadow, 10% each from quality Added Cold Dmg and Frostbite as options. Most of my converted minions will be dealing raw physical damage more. Also, my most frequent partner for maps is EK and this would allow him to drop his Hatred for something else.

I also realize that RT is a good idea for certain reasons, but I find getting crits fun, it may be smart as boosting the minions I convert to run Increased Critical Strikes support, as well as the chance to freeze and proliferate. I think I will head down past Inner Force into Celestial Walker, get the AOE and finish getting through Merciless so I can see how it is with proper gems/sockets and the better weapons.

I don't really have points for IR and stacking Endurance Charges. I am thinking more about Twin Terrors, Blade Barrier, Sword Master and the Diamond Skin node if I head more into Duelist later. Having Enfeeble up (30%+ reduced enemy damage) is like having a stack of 6 endurance charges, except it kills all monster damage including spells, not just physical.

Endgame quality Temporal Chains is reducing monster movement and attack/cast speed by about 40%. I only have a 13% quality now which rounds up to 5% on top of what is listed. I have 3 permanent curses and eventually +AOE nodes, so that is my main defenses.
