Yea I think it's just that there is a very large amount of currency on standard while the bow itself is quite limited. I remember a couple weeks back when someone first linked me the bow I thought it looked rather cool and checked poe.xyz on standard and Ambush. Both had 3 bows listed with Ambush ones being 10ex while standard ones were 70-100ex.
