One possible explanation is that they believe that strife and conflict strengthen people's emotional ties to the game and the community. Whole games are designed around strong, primal, and negative feelings like hatred, jealousy, resentment (typically games that have factions).

This would explain a number of things, including the extreme leniency when it comes to scammers, con artist, RMTers, individuals who buy gear and then sell kills, etc.

RMT permeates the leagues at a vastly higher rate than the majority of people realize, and people are getting very good at hiding it.

GGG and most people playing the game dont realize how many people actually RMT, its a surprising amount, as long as they dont say anything about it they dont get caught, simple as that. By the looks of it this game will always have RMT... which is a fucking bummer for people who play the game cause they love it, like me and you

I just really want private leagues and self found leagues so this fucking bullshit ends and i can play with normal people and have a real economy

If Chris didnt want HvR to sell them why didnt he go have a word with him and ask him not to? When HvR kiled Atziri and joked 'want to sell atziri kills 20ex', a little further into the stream he said 'that would be the ultimate fuck you to ggg, just selling their competition kills' or something to that effect. Why would he feel that way? After all GGG have done for him, all the respect they showed him for world first 100 and he just acts like this? Astounding.

The way GGG dealt with the first 100 was the ultimate fuck you to HvR and the softcore community, and Im just saying that relationships are a 2 way thing, the way you treat people has a big effect on how they view you and how they treat you in return. Would HvR have acted different if he had the same relationship with GGG that kripp and baker have? Who knows, Im not saying he would, Im just saying you cant expect the bloke to feel morally compelled to 'do the right thing' when the forum community and the devs dont treat him that way.

Yeah I pretty much agree with what you've said here. I thought the CoD thing was a little meh because he didn't report it, he did it in secret. If he'd streamed it the whole time until they fixed it I'd have just thought it was clever as fuck.

The thing about selling Atziri kills in invasion... You risk your character each time. Mors lost his and is out a shitton of currency he owes people. That's why I don't see it as that big of a deal.

I think the "best" solution is to give the MTX to ANYONE who kills her in INVASION. I say that as someone who got the mtx in Ambush. Not paying for it but in a group. I think anyone who does it in INVASION has earned it. End of story.

I don't care for first X people to complete challenge things to begin with, if the number is going to be that high. Not everyone can afford to no life it for the first 2-3 weeks of a league.

But D3 is shallow as hell, so that isn't really a good solution. It's like eating tofu instead of steak because of Mad Cow Disease, instead of doing something about the disease being rampant.

I'd switch to D3 in an instant if the game wasn't so incredibly dumbed down, but if you want an ARPG with a good degree of customization that also has persistent online servers, then PoE is the only choice. I'd rather GGG banned RMTers, added solo challenges, and stopped rewarding amoral or rule-breaking (RMT) behavior. Heck, I'd even take a SFL league without grouping and trading as a compromise, though it's not my preferred choice.

You keep saying that Havoc was joking about it and that Mors was the first one to seriously consider selling the kills. You must be some sort of mind reader or maybe just a Havoc fanboy.

Everything that Havoc has achieved has required little to no skill on his part. I'm not just shit talking him, I have reasons behind what I say.

First to 100 Standard: He got carried on a 10k HP triple curse build through 77 maps that were bought with RMTed exalts. This is a fact. He told his group he was going to continue playing and help them hit 100 as well. Oh how quickly he disappeared when he finally hit 100, leaving his "friends" on their own. This is a fact.

Level 100 Nemesis: He abused a burning miscreation CoD bug in order to rush to level 100 in a couple weeks. This is a fact.

First Invasion Atziri Kill: Used a BoR Aegis build with a friend to multi curse for him. Aegis is the most boring, brain dead build in the game. I know because I played one in Dom and couldn't stand playing such a boring build. You can see him running through lightning balls, among other things, taking no damage whatsoever. This is a fact.

As soon as he downs Atziri he begins to talk about selling the fight. You say he was joking, but hey aren't a lot of truths/confessions began as a joke to begin with? That is how some ease others into the idea.

I don't see why you respect him so much. He doesn't really deserve much respect. Maybe you are right in saying that Mors was the first one to be serious about selling the fight. I can't say for sure and really neither can you.

What I can say, though, is that there was a lot more skill involved in Mors's and Wonka's kill attempts. This is obvious to anyone who has watched both videos. Havoc has already lost respect from most of the community because he is selfish and all he cares about is getting ahead any way he can. He should not be recognized as a skilled player.
