Wow nice presentation, thanks for taking the time to provide your ideas in this way junaum. As others have mentioned/quoted we understand a new and comprehensive trade system would be a good idea and are currently working on its implementation.

Therefore, since GGG is always saying in round-about ways how much they're hard-up on money, the easiest thing they can do is negligibly improve the Forum Trading on the site, and put in a more easy-to-implement, user & developer-friendly Trade System in the game itself that's functional.

We're not really hard up (though more money is always good IMO) If we do talk about money it's usually in terms of a cost-benefit consideration. Our main restriction at the moment is being able to find the right talent in New Zealand to help share the development load.

Micheal Good Buddy, I'm sure I know a few people who would have the talent to help you out, however they are overseas from you and would have to remotely work. Toss that idea around and get back to me.

Thanks for the suggestion Farahota. We're definitely keen to accept talent from overseas if possible, however we currently want to avoid remote work for a number of reasons (security, managing work flow etc). If anyone's already got plans to move to New Zealand and jump through the necessary hoops to work here that's a different story.

Hi Michael, I really appreciate that you (the team) took the time to give feedback on this thread. Knowing that you guys take this kind of initiative seriously is very motivational for some of us to provide more elaborate suggestions. I'm a huge admirer of you guys as developers

I hope that this turns out to be helpful or insightful on your guest for the new trade system. If needed, I'll be gladly willing to help more.

Wish you guys the best of luck at this endeavor.

I always wondered why you guys do not advertise the job here:
http://jobs.gamasutra.com/

I thought this was the go-to place for people interested in the gaming biz. Shame on me, if I am wrong. It could help nonetheless to advertise the needed position there, consider forwarding this message to HR. :)
I'm thinking about returning to PoE. Did the dev guys implemented something to make trading easier?

I´ve noticed players have hideouts now, which is awesome. Those player shops described at this old thread could fit nicely there.

Nope, nothing, yet unfortunately. We're still stuck with the same information from January...
Just bumping for the future generations.
Since you already necro'd this, I'll bite...

This system purposely limits you to needing to be in the same place at the same time; however, it would be nice if more of an asynchronous system was available as GGG has so far discussed. Think about someone from New York trading with someone from Sydney, or either of the two trading with someone from Germany or Africa. Should we need the same play schedule to trade?
I really like the idea of store fronts. However, I feel that they should never have the option to include prices, as having list prices will immediately start to creep toward non-negotiable prices and an AH-like trading environment.

The utility, then, of storefronts would be to display your items so that other people could reference the items to you and inquire about/negotiate a price for them.

Additionally, the amount of store pages should be fixed and free--if store pages were to be microtransactions, there could be a pay-to-win element involved such that the more pages you bought the more trades you make because you can offer more at once.
