Would you pay to have GGG focus exclusively on fixing the game issues but no new content?
" Use the current Unreal engine to build POE with. Make all computers cry. There comes a time thief when jewels cease to sparkle, gold loses it's luster, throne room becomes a prison, and all that's left is a father's love for his child. - King Osric

" Use the current Unreal engine to build POE with. Make all computers cry.
That would be too good for POE players. Use 8 bit graphics instead. |

If I had Charan type cash, I would pay for every player that whines about desynch to do the troubleshooting to understand that the issue is probably with packet loss and ISP issues in almost all cases of major desynch.
My ISP has serious issues with their DNS servers getting so overloaded in the evenings that packets cannot route through properly. This is mainly a "prime time" issue for me. Is GGG to blame for data not making through my ISP's infrastructure? Would any amount of investment by GGG improve that situation? Hardcore is my preferred play style, but my connection keeps me from enjoying it. Far easier for me to simply accept that my connection is going to kill me from time to time and play in Ambush/Standard than to deal with the frustration of losing character progression because my ISP refuses to update their tech. I'm sure I would be happier by playing in Invasion and then raging at GGG for their terribad netcode when such deaths occur, right? |

" No, what we're telling you is to buy a $100 video card. Almost any bottom-of-the-line card from the current generation of cards should be able to run this game way better than a top-of-the-line card from five years ago. |

" Unreal engine is also crazy optimised. Things in Unreal engine look beautiful and run like silk. Im pretty sure if unreal engine was available to use way back at the start of PoEs development it would have been considered. However there wasn't many good engines out for sale back then. All those art features *drools* I like all the fluffy animals[img]http://i.imgur.com/mO8dR.png[\img]

" I take it changing engines would require too much work?
" and i do not believe either of you because simply an act of opening trade chat used to drop fps below 60 to ~40-50 in Lunaris 3 in usual routine farming. get some titty bitches, nothing fancy it was especially noticeable during mid-Nemesis when the league was still active and trade chat was still spewing multiple messages per second yellow rares and brown uniques were FPS killers now you're telling me that somewhat out of date video card can't handle small transparent window?
" Remaking half the game yeah. A lot of art would get screwed right off the bat. All shaders and materials would no cross over. So anything with material settings would have to be remade. We would have to remake ever skill effect in the game. If you count ever monster in the game that around 2 and a half years work for me : P Then there's still the environment effects. I dont think many people would want to wait 3+ years for a new skill and new monsters just so we can swap engines and make the game run nicer. Its a nice idea sure. However we still have 50 or so people here at ggg to pay. Im sure if it was easy to swap to another engine we would have done so already. As our limited engine slows down production for many of our art department members. I like all the fluffy animals[img]http://i.imgur.com/mO8dR.png[\img]
