Would you pay to have GGG focus exclusively on fixing the game issues but no new content?
I would buy points if GGG slowed down content to work on current issues. In fact I would buy more than usual, because I would respect a decision to do that.
When I meet with friends that stopped playing PoE months ago and tell them about updates, they always just say "Oh? Does the game still run like poo? Have they fixed stuff yet? Does that new ability lag?" Those are the types of responses I get, even from the ones with brand new computers. That's all they want to know when I tell them about a PoE update, is if the game runs better, if desync is fixed, or if load times are faster. If I were a graphics programmer I'd offer to help, but I'm not. |

" Where do you live and what gateway do you play on? Desync and server connectivity issues are a reality to this game, saying they don't exist must mean you play under much different circumstances than the vast majority of players. Keep PoE2 Difficult.

I'd love to have options to reduce the excessive flash. Especially if it lightened the load on my gpu. I may even be more likely to participate in group play if there were a way to do so.

Definitely. Especially if the content they are going to release is as shitty as the atziri patch. I would like them to take more time and actually release good stuff again.

" As a admitted gaming toaster user I certainly do remember. It was glorious! On the other hand, since the last few updates I've had to re-downgrade my settings and re-add -gc 2 :{ Shrines and corrupted areas especially seem to make my toaster burn the toast :{ I do understand the hiring situation though so I will be patient and wish you guys luck finding someone with the right person for the job. It itches!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Perhaps in 4 years time when you start working on POE 2 you will have the cream of the crop graphics engine to work with and your choice of any artist, coder, in the world. But I must say the way the game is now is flipping amazing for an indie team. Literally puts the BLIZZARD in its place and forces them to rethink concepts to be enjoyed. Well done!

GGG doesn't see the broken shit as "broken." The only thing to do is to quit playing the game and come back periodically whining in the hopes they'll finally listen. As playerbase contiues to shrink (and moneyflow is throttled from said shrinkage) GGG will at some point scramble to throw out some patches that will peripherally alter some issues (but not address them fully. No, never.)
By then it will be too late. There are things we accepted in beta as 'a work in progress', but a finished product like this with so many major issues is a bad sign. The fact that a mjaor patch adding content can't staunch the flow of players leaving the game should worry all the fans. Everyone likes new content, but if the game plays like shit then the new content is only as satisfying as the old content. Anyways, at some point Chris will need to step down as lead. Most people familiar with some of his design choices acknowledge that he's made some irreversibly bad decisions. Desync is so fucked up they can't even put resources into fixing it (of course, in his eyes there's nothing to be fixed.) Go ahead and say "u mad" or "QQ" or whatever. Truth is, I was mad. Now I'm mostly indifferent. That should worry GGG the most. I still have hope the devs will start listening to their fans, but that's not gonna happen as long as you-know-who refuses to even acknowledge the problems are actually problems. For those of you enjoying the game as is, and attacking anyone asking for changes to be made: kudos. Enjoy it now before the money dries up from all of us leaving the game. |

I've had to accept the fact the game offers more frustrations than fun in its current state so I've taken a break and won't be contributing any more money until some core issues are at least attempted to be tackled but now after reading russels posts I actually kind of feel bad for GGG. I have to then conclude as others have you guys need to stop worrying about pushing out new content every 4 months and instead work on, and make real progress in, core issues like desync, spiky damage/excess rng, too many skill effects etc then I'd gladly donate again.
You guys have the opportunity to make a game that is truly great, don't squander it please! D: |

Perhaps GGG doesnt give a shit if you want to play POE on an ancient computer/shitty laptop. On most decent pcs it runs perfectly fine, even in groups.
