STOP NINJAS - FIX LOOT RULES FOR GODS SAKE
Not everyone is a paragon of justice, and if you force everyone to be, no one will.
Some people will be lazy in groups, some will overwrite your curses, some won't give you a portal when you want it, some will run enemies to you and some will kill bosses without you. Why is it the drops that make you want to force people to cooperate? |

Whilst farming with a pug in Fellshrine, guess what NINJA man stole legendary from me. By the time i could run to it yep shadow ddagger class took my hammer. And they say the game is designed according to it's law. What a load of crap. SCREW grouping again with pugs.

I like the timer. It works very well, and I even play range!
If the problem is that the timer runs out while you are in combat, and therefor your item gets "ninja looted", Devs could make it so that the timer on items would first start to count down, once that player is out of combat. Then you got time to pick up you item, no matter how long combat would be. Gaming is my drug

There is also another problem apart from timers. The problem is you will see others camping your loot and just pressing their mouse button like mad. I have encountered so many times ppl camping my loot whilst me clicking it 100 times fast so they don't get a chance of having that. But yet again that too does not always work due to latency or whatever.
I'm so disappointed in this system it's very frustrating. I believe the timers need some serious adjusting to accommodate other issues linked with it e.g. full inventory. let's not forget at times there are many drops that will be yours with a timer. Do the timers give you enough time to look at them especially if they are rares and giving you a choice which one to take whilst the other one is being ninja'd. cheers The Good the Bad & the Ugly

" Maybe you should have chosen more carefully what items you needed to pick up. Maybe you should pick up items that you can use. Grab what you need, leave the rest. If you're not running a staff build, don't pick up the staff. |

I wouldn't say any loot is 'mine' until I pick it up. It's mine when it's in my inventory - while it's on the ground it's just some loot lying on the ground.
I guess that if GGG removed the names that are displayed to show which players' distance from the item has been used to calculate the timers' length, there would be a lot less crying. What have you become when even nightmares fear you?

Just add 2-3 seconds to a timer and problem fixed..
Dont understand why we are still talking about it..extend the timer..done.. next problem |

" This is where the problem lies, in my opinion at least. People throw around the word "some". I'm sure Chris and the GGG staff knew "some" people would be ninjas and that "some" people will only care about themselves and not the group. From my experience, and for many others, it's not "some" people it's EVERYONE. If a rare currency or a unique or a really good rare drops, THE ENTIRE GROUP will converge on it, possibly ignoring important monsters endangering the group. I simply can't enjoy grouping due to this mechanic. |____________ G . L . O . W . Y . R . M ____________|

Here's my 2 cents. The party should have the option of entitling loot to individual players, so people who wants to FFA can still do it, and people who actually want no one to ninja loot can also have what they want. I am posting this because I've just gotten a GCP taken away in a supposedly "no ninja" party. It's fustrating that it's just words that's meant to stop a person from being greedy. People that can actually overcome their avarice are meant to be in those parties, but what is stopping people that are greedy from joining. My heart literally skip a beat when a item that is mine drops, whether I'm with people that can be trusted or not.
In a nutshell: Have an option to entitle loot permanently to a player when the party is created, so the party has to disband in order for the option to change (with name labelled under the loot so another player can point out they missed something) This is basically the current loot system without the time limit. since the name goes away when the time expires...
