STOP NINJAS - FIX LOOT RULES FOR GODS SAKE
oh and i ain't done yet. Here is something else to take into consideration. Ok your in a group, your group kills the boss. Whala heaps of loot, as you go to pickup your rare or blue item it drops back on the ground again. Why because your inventory is full, again allowing someone else to get your loot as you were clearing it out. Heavens man, your telling me we can't get a better loot system. What happens if there is more then 1 rare whilst your inventory is full.
Man o man o man, this needs serious fixing. The Good the Bad & the Ugly

I kind of agree on that .....and this is one of the main reason why I stop play in grp.
Also one very annoying thing is that when you have 5-6 ppls in grp ......is even quite hard to see you name on the items. Maybe for the rare items remove the counter and bind the loot to player Last edited by Exotrax#6666 on Jan 29, 2013, 10:06:11 PM

It's not ninja looting, if the timer is spent of. Because the timer don't says, this item is exclusive for player xy, it simply says, he is allowed to take it first. It could be, the timer should give more time to take it.

" This. The most common misconception with the loot system is that the loot with your name on it is "yours" and you are entitled to it. No you aren't, the game just picked a person at random and gave them the chance to get it first, and once the timer expires, it's open season. |

" The fact that it is allowing someone to pick it up before anyone else does give that player a certain amount of ownership of that particular item. It is theirs until the timer runs out, noone else can get it. I still feel that the group should be allowed to choose what form of loot rules there are. Whether it be a FFA or a group loot system. The system atm is detremental too the public grouping system as it promotes more of a "dog eat dog" approach as opposed to a "work towards a common goal" one OR the players name is removed from ALL items, and the Item is locked to ALL for a timed period(ie 5-10 sec). This would remove the misconception that you talk about. It would also give each and every member of the party an equal chance of getting that item. It would still keep the loot system as a FFA but giving everyone an equal chance. Have the amount of time the item is locked/unable to be picked up, governed by the furthest member from that item. At the very least, if the system is to stay as it is atm, then at least lengthen the timer. |

Can't tell you how many times I've clicked that chisel or divine orb and it never picks it up. And OF COURSE some asshat is standing there camping my loot clicking like his/her life depended on it. I don't know if this is from lag/desync or what. But this happens sooo much and is the epicenter of my frustration with the loot system. I love playing in groups, its really fun. But I gets screwed from this lag or even the situation where I'm ranged, and the melee pick everything up before I can get to it because when it dropped, I was still off screen or too far to run fast enough when I noticed the timer is about up.
I know this is a controversial subject, some people really like it. These are the people who benefit from it most. Why not compromise and make the timers longer or something, please. |

" It gives them first chance at ownership. That's it. It does not give them any form of actual ownership. |

Ownership is ownership, whether it be for 3 seconds or not. Having the items sit there with someones name on it means that it is that persons..... No matter what anyone does, it is solely that persons until the timer runs out. If this system was always meant to be FFA then why have someones name put on the item.

No, its not. You're confusing ownsership with the chance at ownership. You own the timer. Not the item. It is not your item until you grab it. At that point it is yours. Until that point, its merely an item on the ground.

" Aha. POSSESSION is the important bit here. Once an item is possessed, it is owned. Pre-possession, it is not owned... even if it has your name above it. MOAR PANTS, because every good game needs a pointless meme.
