What this Passive-Reset Proves.

"
Many people here think that if a reset option is allowed, the game will get destroyed.

But people, "Co-relation does not equal Causality".

Resets have already happen in the name of patch updates where everyone got a full reset for all "previously lost characters" back, a few times already, and that hasn't made any difference(other than fixing people's -permanent- mistakes by ggg themselves), so i still don't understand this reasoning.

I guess people who wanted to get some fixes done got em done when the patches happened, now they want it to remain like this for everyone who joins the game(but got resets themselves), and then there's also the issue of lack of information and the need for passive tree to be given more mechanics to reduce the complete dependency on third part tools and solutions.

No your idea would mean what others have told you is that GGG would start a holding hands policy. Like they have to hold our hand so we do not mess up and throw away a character that we have invested time in. If GGG does do that then I suggest to get rid of regret orbs and even the refund points from request. If a player cannot wait one week to respec a few points in his tree then there is something wrong with him. Then after that I would start asking for free repecs like D3 whenever we want it without any restrictions and you can see what will happen what that would become reality.

i am not just gonna absorb everything the game throws at me and label it as challenge and hardcore juice. If something is irrational and wasteful, it simply is.

what's the point of an orb of reset if it's faster to re roll to a point than to spend orbs resetting. Or to just buy a bunch of Regret orbs from the Online stores, because that is totally within hardcore rules and ggg approves too. swag.
(guitar sound plays in background) NANANANANANANANAN BLIND SIDE !!!! NANANANANANANN BLINDSIDE !!! hooh! haah! disco disco, blind side! Huuuuuh! Blindddsideeee!!! ting ting ting(srum beats to end).

"We will give you hundreds of nodes to select from, and several viable builds too, and along with almost 20 whole regret orbs, so you can properly make full use of the passive tree"(oohhh i seeeee taaaaaa leighttt)

I think what you are missing out on is something really simple. When a player is new they do no know what stats are important to a character. So that means that when you try to make your own build you will mess up until you learn what stats are important to your character. But after learning that your mistakes will less with each successive try at making your own build. Where in a short time you will be able to make at least a decent build. Will it be perfectly optimized, probably not but it should at least be able to clear all difficulties and maybe do some maps.

Need* not want new character.

Let's also stop insinuating that everyone considers re rolling a sensible option, and yes RMT should be considered, because it is also a Reset option, and the most viable one if you have money to throw. No, i am not just gonna stop considering it and i have stated how it has a lot to do with the problem.
Heh, where did you get the "Less than 1% of players". Those sites wouldn't even be up if that few people used it,luls. Sources to justify your claim/numbers please, Thanks.

you really know how to relate things, like a respec option and map hacks being allowed, noiceeeeee.

If you can be so happy with Rmt flourishing in the game((and its not even been that long since this game released lelelele)), you really can't say much against a once a week respec option available to everyone, not just the people who can buy 20 stacks of regret orbs from shops.

First of all I say that there is more than enough players in this game that even less than 1% will still give more than enough for a third party website to prosper. I would dare to say that there are millions of people playing it. So if you had in the tens of thousands of players buying those items I am sure that there will be enough there to make a profit.

Otherwise you are saying that the only way a third party site prospers is to have everyone playing buying something and that would be insane. Because if true then GGG should just shut down the game and the websites because everyone is using the service.

The reason i wanted a reset option was to even out the disadvantage people get from not being knowledgeable enough, or not having direct access to all the proper sites in the first week or few which other long time players do have, and many get exploited by the same players, because of the same lack of knowledge which leads to passive skill tree screw-ups. it also takes down the dependency on Buy2win shops.

Heck, it doesn't even have to be a 'weekly reset'. each character can be allowed AS MANY RESETS AS THEY WANT, but ONLY TILL LEVEL 65, so you have level 65 worth of skill points which you can move around the tree on and try to find a suitable build, before attempting to move on, After you hit Level 66, you can not reset anymore.
What do you say to that idea ?:B. Like this the whole process of "re rolling" is changed from " starting out at level 1 and playing to the point of last error" to " having the freedom of finding a self found direction to go in till a certain point, where the spike in difficulty occurs. So it is both, a Reset mode AND a no reset mode, after level 66, your character hits a "POINT OF NO RETURN" where the respec option is removed.

There are so many ideas i can throw out here, but i just despise it when people totally shun an idea without knowing anything about it :\.

It is not like you have to have a ton of knowledge just to make a good build. When you learn what you do need, which again is small, then you will have no problem of making a good build that will at least be able to clear all difficulties and maybe even do some maps. Will it be optimal, probably not but it will be a viable build.

So whatever advantage players that use those outside tools have is small. What is more any player can gain access to those tools without having to join some super top secret society. Without having to pay them 100's if not thousands of dollars in subscription services.
