Work okay on Surface Pro 2?
I need to get a computer to replace my old gaming laptop. I've heard the Surface Pro 2 actually runs games pretty well. Anyone have any experience playing PoE on it? Does it work well?
Thanks. |

I wouldn't. I don't see why anyone would. Perhaps the new trading stuff planned would work well on a tablet, but playing a game like this just isn't going to feel right. Depending on where you live, the local stores in the US would let you load it up and try it out.

HP makes pretty good laptops. :V
I usually get my computers from them. |

I would use a docking station when I played at home. So I was more wondering how the HW runs it and not how the interface is.
I just travel a lot and was hoping I could get one device that could be a travel companion as well as a PoE machine when I'm at home. |

" How much are you willing to spend? That's an important question for these kinds of things. |

You really want to play a game like this on a 10 inch screen?

Somewhere between $1500 and $2500.
I've also never had a tablet before and was curious how one would fit my life. Thought maybe I could kill two birds with one stone. But I'd be pissed if it couldn't run PoE... |

there's no way that the surface pro 2 can be anything more than a glorified internet surfing computer. Without a dedicated video card there is no way to render advanced games.
Who said it was good at gaming? They might have been refering to farmville lol. IGN: OldManBalls (Warbands)

@Shag, is there something about the Pro and PoE that would make me play it on the Pro screen instead of on a real monitor?

You'd likely be more pissed at how poorly it felt to play it, even if it did. Buy yourself a computer. $2500 will buy you a real powerhouse gaming rig. Toss in a $300 tablet and your life will be complete.
