Why I Don't Get Sick of PoE after a Year

That's not what this thread is about.
I personally prevent PoE burnout by starting new characters, if you don't share my opinion, go stack MF and keep doing merc Dominus runs. I don't give a fuck. That's not my idea of fun, but all power to you if it is yours.

These forums are great. Where personal opinion is considered factually wrong by elitist scum.

I'm not angry.

I think you misinterpreted something along the line.

I never said other ways of playing were "wrong", but many assume such.

Wtf. My latest Build. RF with Rise of the Phoenix works at 65, cause rise of the pheonix require lvl 65.
Fuck this.
The leveling part from ~50 till 65 was a pain in the ass.

Because you assumed that your personal opinion can be applied to everyone and their mother. I listed you my builds and tell you that your solution is not my solution.

I don't want to replay POE at this state, not in the leagues at least.

I enjoy races now and then though.

But you knew that before you started the build right?
It was a concious decision you made, to play an RF build that required a lvl 65 item to work.

So many people missing my point.
So many sighs.

I don't care. I'll continue to play PoE in the way I enjoy.
Getting my level 84 ranger to level 85 via the shitty maps I have isn't fun for me.
Rolling a new character is.

If this isn't how you enjoy PoE, I DON'T CARE.

Edit : i do however agree for the biggest part with your sentiment. My only point was that even playing with that mindset and rule set for yourself, there are still some fundamental flaws in the game flow in my opinion. And certain balance issue's.

Maps are there for this exact purpose - to test your best gear / build. You get there fully geared and prepared, because the difficulty expects you to be fully geared.

But this gearing up & levelling up process takes too much time. That's why people hold on their precious characters, which they invested hundreds of hours into.

Maybe some like playing builds in normal difficulty, but I don't. I only plan builds that are map-viable, because that's is the most challenging and theoretically rewarding content. My next one is supposed to be around this sword:



But I'll have to lvlup to 67 before I can even see if I will like it -_- That prospect is kinda putting me off, so when I login I prefer to jump into my hilvl chars and do some map grind instead...

Please explain to me my way I am playing , because I have no idea. Also, the one and only challange in POE is to grind to 100, because it is so fucking boring, not because its hard.
