Lag into disconnection.

My system runs the game as good as it can be run but periodically after no set time frame or in no set place all of a sudden I will lag/freeze up for about 2 seconds then get disconnected to the login screen. This is not an internet problem because I never have disconnect/sync issues in other games. This problem hasn't always occured, it seems to have started sometime after the game launched officially. I don't remember which patch I noticed it starting.

My system specs are as follows:

i7 4770k @ stock speeds
EVGA GTX 780
Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2x8GB)

If anyone could shed some light into what is happening I would greatly appreciate it. I've already tried updating drivers and rolling back to previous video drivers but that hasn't been a solution.

I started having similar issues a couple of weeks ago.. maybe a little longer than that. Now I can't go a whole map run without disconnecting at least once. :/

Yesterday had no trouble playing PoE at all, stable ping of 50.

Today: I see a mob -> ping jumps to 1k+
In town I have no problem at all. Ping is stable then at 50........ like, what the hell? If I was getting lagspikes everywhere, I'd be less angry, but only when seeing mobs!?

DC-ed 5 times today, two times I got killed because of it.

My issue isn't ping related. One second I'm fine the next second I freeze and disconnect.

Anyone have any insight into this problem?

Im having this problem as well, no issues with any other online Games, just POE. I'm on 20 mb cable hard wired and speed tests are good. Restarted my modem and router just in case and nothing. This just started today for me, I cant play for more than 5 or 10 min with out it lagging out and ultimately disconnecting.

Yeah I play on a 60mb down / 35mb up connection and it's less lag and more of a freeze into disconnection but it only happens on PoE. I have no issues on any other games and I play a lot of games.
