RMT (This isn't Feedback about gameplay or balance)

It's not that easy. A friend might give you 100 exalts cause he stops. You cannot distinguish this from RMT. But in the end the real problem are the sellers/botters/dupers, and not the RMT-addicts. If someone wants to spend real money for pixels let them do. That's at least my point of view. Banning the people reduces the playerbase which is a bad thing.

Also as you noticed, it was quite obvious that many of the best streamers out there actually RMTed. There is no way you die and the next day you got like the top end gear on every slot again. At least not in Nemesis when it was a rather fresh league.

Because maybe they actually need to see some evidence? Its pretty easy to say you guilty of something without any shred of evidence to backup you claim. One thing I notice in POE there is a lot of jealousy so yea until I see hard proof I dont believe it

Yeah but reviews cost time and time equals money. How many > 50 exalts trades would you have to review every week? Honestly I don't mind if that's their policy, but imho there are really more severe problems in this game than RMT.

It's true when you think about it, what is going to make the community angrier :

Some RMT players reaching the top ladder not being banned ( + rich players)
OR
Random players being banned as soon as a friend lend you more than 5 ex?

There are blatant d2jspers at the tops of some of the ladders. You can spend 15 minutes at that site reading the PoE forum and figure out who is who. I personally don't understand why they don't do it.

there is a well known trading website with poe section

ggg just needs to go there, check items sold for dough and ban anyone selling/buying it (they can track items perfectly fine) - starting from the top 100 in both leagues

and also filter trade chat/whispers for 'usd' and ban these guys too - 170 usd is the price of perfect legacy thunderfists..

any game with this RNG-based loot will get rmt'ed to death unless company makes EVERYTHING possible to deter rmters. top of all ladders occupied by rmters.. shows that not enough is being done

i bet that more than 30% of top100 is involved in regular rmt. it is not a secret that games like d3 or poe are an easy way of making some serious REAL money on the side. you dont even need to play the game in question.. just trade

All the angriness i saw is : This thread + some rare comments here and there.
Oh and of course the threads popping when someone achieve an important goal like reaching lvl 100 or something, accusing him of cheating or having friends cheating ( can't discuss if it's true or not cuz i don't know)


What about the angriness you will see everyday if every week someone get banned for no reason ( like borrowing 5 ex, transfering currencies to your alt account, winning a prize, winning a giveaway, a random gift)? => Forum closed
