Frenzy / Cleave DW Duelist Build

So, it doesn't matter if i use eg. Chestpiece with Evasion main stat insted Armor main stat? IR would convert it? I gues it does, but need confirmation... :>

Correct. In fact, it will be superior to take Evasion rating over Armor rating on gear when you can because your Dexterity will still boost it before it is converted into Armor.

Question - suppose i'll support Frenzy with LoH gem, but my Frenzy Charges would origin from Blood Rage buff. Will Life on Hit apply? Or should I support BloodRage instead?

Life on Hit will only apply to the actual strikes made with Frenzy. The gem will not interact with Blood Rage in any way since Blood Rage is a self-casted buff.

And another one.
Heres my skill setup atm:
Spoiler
Passives:
http://www.pathofexile.com/passive-skill-tree/AAAAAgQAAecFLRHVEiAUUhcdGNsb-h3KIWAl3yi1KNsshTIJNJM26DpSQKBHfkp9U99WBFeXWNtaGluvXotgQWBLYIhhUmNwZ6B07XTxeu-E2YTvhmCHdpstm4OkGacwq8W-p90N37_f7-9O7-P3vvzFii
I use:
- Cleave supported with LoH,

- Dual Strike with Faster Attacks (can have another Green Support Gem. Any ideas at which one aim?)
(That Fork gem applied just to lvl it up...)
- Blood Rage and Frenzy (not supported atm. Same question as above applies - any sugestions with what gem support 'em? )

And the problem - with such set up I die A LOT. Lost like whole lvl when completing last A2 quest on Cruel. Especially elemental dmg is pain in the ass. Any advices?
My lvl is too low, should I seek better gear, or maybe some passives badly allocated?
There are a Element.Res skill tree branches, (left from SteelSkin, another one left from Thick Skin), but is it worth spending 6+4 points to obtain (+15+15 FireRes, +15+15 IceRes, +8+8AllRes)?
Or maybe should I go for IR and UnwaveingStance asap? (4 more points)
Would apreciate any help, coz losing all that hard earned exp is not fun at all :<

PS. Awesome topic, loads of usefull informations :)

Also - Wallach, u've mentioned Anger and Grace buffs, and Warlords debuff. Isn't an Haste aura also a valid choice? (attack speed over added dmg). In general, what scales better at endgame, +ASpd or +Dmg??

My guess is that much of your trouble is gear related, or related to the path you've taken through the build to your current level not having enough Life nodes. If you aren't capped, the 15% Diamond Skin node will be a large defensive boost so take it next chance you get. Then focus on getting your Life and some more defensive nodes you have not picked up yet (the 12/10/30 Armor node island is a strong 3 points if you do not have it). I would also recommend trying to improve your armor; you may as well toss an Alchemy at your helm since you're already wearing it for the links.

As far as Haste, it's simply not viable when using Blood Magic in my opinion. The reserved cost is far too great, even with a max level and quality Reduced Mana support. Regarding attack speed versus damage, it's a tough thing to calculate because it will vary greatly depending on your equipment and gems. To be honest, I'm not even certain which of the two starting paths are really optimal at this time. I've been trying to balance which nodes were taken on the general idea that %dmg is worth about half of %spd and when options were roughly equal on that measure I've leaned towards %spd. Getting an exact answer to this question would be extremely difficult for any character beyond your own due to gear bonuses scaling differently off both stats. In general I think the more flat elemental damage sources you have, the more weight %spd is going to have, especially in Cleave's output.

I've taken Diamond Skin already. 12/10/30 Armor isle also.
As for +(%) Life. Only isles near my build are, that i can spot are: 2x +12%Life near Bloodless, and 3x +8%Life near Thick Skin.
I will take those two 12% each, (I'm already there), but sholud i spent 4 more points to obtain other 3 isles? I dont wana build too defensive char...

Ok, understtod that.
But its better to have some +%spd anyways. more often hits, more life sucked out of mobs xD
I'm 1 Passive Skill Point away from Blood Magic and I'm wondering if I should get it or wait a little while until I've got the essentials. I'm level 35 and I currently have Frenzy (currently not being used), Cleave, Anger, Warlord's Mark, Whirling Blade, Dual Strike (Currently being used in place of Frenzy) and 1x Life Gain on Hit which is being used with Cleave.

Are there any more skills that I have forgotten aside from Grace?

That sounds similar to where I was when I picked it up. I'd try it and see if your health/defense can handle it if you have a spare respec point, you can always pull out of it should you find you're not ready for it yet. It's not as hard to sustain as it might seem so long as you have okay regen and LoH linked to Cleave.
Hey =)

First of all , really nice build.

Its the third day im playing now and ur build of the Cleave DW Build fits me pretty well :D

I am level 31 now with Blood Magic and in 80 % of the fights i survive :D @ 31 im playing with Frenzy Buff up and cleaving with lightning speed ( both linked with LoH ), as a tip for this build and for a newcomer could u tell me on what items i should concentrate or which stats on Gear to focus ?

And which abilities to combine with Added Fire Damage ?

Would really appreciate it :D

That's reassuring. Another thing I'd like to ask you is which support gems are wanted in this build as I can't seem to find any post regarding this matter specifically. I might just have forgotten it though xD

I gave some ideas a few pages back: Link
the build looks dope... for leveling. what's your dps with cleave while you are speed buffed? and, i noticed a few times you cut it close, like you werent leeching enough hp. im 51, my dps with dual strike is a little over 2k. my cleave is about 650dps. i want to run with you in a map or something. i like your aoe damage for sure. i might move some gems around to make my cleave faster and stronger. i am also blood magic running, blood rage, and warlords. so i stay full hp while fighting even 30-40mobs. and an excellent boss killer. since my dual strike is so^.
let me know what you think. i would link my build but dont have it saved atm.
Trying this build out but was thinking if its a good idea to pick up the 40 hp from bandit quest insteed of the skillpoint?

(edit) NVM found answer on page 5

Thought I'd add my build (currently lv64) to this thread, 1h+shield and double strike for single target, but other than that I run cleave, frenzy, warlords mark etc.

here are skills:

Thinking about Anger+Molten Shell+30% fire damage node. Thoughts?

Also tossing up between determination and grace for aura, since I plan to get blood magic on my supports, stack my mana with auras (so determination is an option, possibly Hatred also) and use my limited pool left over to cast frenzy/warlords.
