Curse immunity map Affix hurts skill diversity
" I'm going to leave you with a little example until you want to listen. A player runs into a room and the first thing he does is use the same nuke he always uses on every single monster in the room. If the mobs are curse immune, it doesn't matter, since he doesn't use curses. If monsters are resistant to his nuke, he will notice them dying slower than usual, but they will still die. This will not cause him to react differently than any other mob that is not resistant to his nuke. In the meanwhile, the guy that uses curses against curse immune enemies must stop using curses -> he must ignore the main trait of his build - which makes up 2-5 of his skills - for which he invested gear/passives - and just spam the hell out of his nuke(s). However, the enemies may be curse immune AND resistant to his nuke, and as such curse builds are the only ones that can be double-penetrated in the ass by the game. Bad design? Yes. Run out of ideas? Yes. Not difficult to deal with curse immunity? Nope, the answer is just as simple as any other difficulty, but this one just ruins the gameplay your build offers in a way no other build is ruined. This is specially aggravating since Curse builds aren't better than the rest. White-knighting on the forums is a much easier alternative than being considerate.
