Getting a high level character isn't that important to me. What I enjoy about this game is trying out new things to see if they work or not, then when I get to mid-level I generally start over.

I don't take the game too seriously (it is just a game after all). I just like to relax after work bashing a few skulls.

Im still playng d2 even is fuking old.

No, I never said that. It was a great game for its time. I would usually play it pretty heavily for a month or so at a time during each ladder season, then give it a break for a while until the next one.

But, let's not pretend that it was perfect either or that it was so much better than anything out there today. Like I said, for its time, it was great but it wouldn't have lasted a year if people held it up to the same standards they do now. There were a number of bugs, many of them game-breaking, that were never fixed even after 10+ years and several patches. A number of skills were severely overpowered. The entire economy of the game revolved around hacked/duped/botted items. And it was every bit as much of a grind as PoE is now. Playing through the game would get you to a level somewhere in the 60s or maybe 70s if I remember right. After that it was hundreds of Mephisto runs, Baal runs, Cow runs etc. MUCH later on, they did add in at least some end-game in the form of Ubers but even then that was the equivalent of maybe half a dozen maps at best(and without even the random rolls that PoE maps can get now). And hardly anyone even WANTED to actually play through the game anyway. Almsot everyone just got rushed through all the actual game content and straight to the end-game.

Yes, it was fun for a while, but there is a reason why I rarely ever played more than a month at a time before taking a break until the next ladder season. 1 month was usually enough time to do pretty much everything I wanted to do and get bored of the endless runs through the same few areas.
