Jan 4: 3h Turbo Solo HC

first race ever for me. brutus and merveil were both intense fights. but managed to kill them.
ended up being in act 2 lvl 18, so close to 19.

i'm happy i could finish the race and havent died. it was very fun and tought a lot about the game and how you should proceed in hardcore.

Nope, I know Panda killed Vaal at least once and I think ssnodgrass did as well.

He came closer to dieing to Cruel Hailrake than he ever did to Vaal.

2nd in class and 11th overall with one of the worst runs I've had in a while. I'm just impressed I didn't die. Thank goodness there was only a couple minor desync episodes.

Took me to 2hr 10min or so mark before I managed to upgrade my Lv8 slow as heck maul, and get my first amy, and my first run speed boots, was just lols this race. Pushed form about 28th at 2hr 10m to finish at 11th, not too bad, if I could have been one shotting from the moment I got to western I think i could have hit top 10, but I dont think Ive ever managed a weapon that good that early in a race.

Well, grats to the winners, looks like well get plenty chances to compete this week :)

Brutus fight was intense. Had a few close calls from freezing rares but overall I enjoyed the challenge. Congratz to the winner.

Died in the last 10 mins at position 15, would have been 5th or 4th shadow. Died because im an idiot and got blown away by a bunch of suicide guys in western while i was picking my cell phone up off the floor. Where they came from, i have no idea.

Got 5th Dualist lvl 21.5. Such a bad start for me. I was late didn't have time to think of a build. until lvl 15 I was starved of currency to buy/make good weapons so I was wearing white armor and weapons minus the run speed boots and gloves when I killed brutus. Luckly he droped the first 1h and I could finally kill quickly. Used cleave and dual strike with decoy totem.

When allocating your passives, did you complete one branch at a time or go between offensive and defensive passives for balance? I'm curious.

first HC race and fulfilled my goal to stay alive.
I even made it top 70, funny experience, congrats to all competitors.
turbo mode is nuts though... :)

Sorry for using lame western farm tactics just didn't want to risk progressing after such a long break from turbos and therefore lacked the confidence to do it. Next time i'll try to progress :p

Sick item luck this race too, would have felt strong progressing with the items I got, but still decided to play it safe. The funny thing I got 0 transmutes/alchs/chances from act 1 and played it through with white weapon. Had nice rare gear dropping me otherwise :D
