Scion - I Cast Magic Missile! - Cantrip's Guide to Ethereal Knives - Forum

" This build is all fine and stuff but.. I want to know about DPS. I'm really into casters but I don't want to spend "5 minutes" spamming EK on one pack of mobs while running maps. Any input on this, please? Would be really helpful deciding, thanks in advance. FYI, i also did start a EK Scion in Dominion League. The Dmg is great although the leveling of the gem is so annoying. Im lvl 77 and my EK gem is halfway to lvl 18, doing 4,8k Screendps. A friend of mine just switched to Kaoms axe and surpassed my dps with lvl 62. EK has steady DPS, Bossfights suck though. Well, it's no secret melee does more damage if it has a good weapon. Once you hit EK 20/20, it's gonna be MUCH better, though. Annoying, but levelling your gems is the only way to seriously bump the damage, unlike melee. The Blood Dance Boots: It's an option to consider. I might take the Frenzy charge and use them, that Regen is tasty. I'm currently level 41, great fun so far. I won't bother posting my skill tree since it's pretty much exactly what you posted as the "basic" one, and while I'm probably under-geared, everything dies VERY quickly. I'm using Added Fire Damage and Projectile Speed with my EK, as well as a Hatred aura (I don't really have mana regen issues yet, so I'll wait a bit before running Clarity) so I tend to clean up mobs in one or two casts. No my problem is... Dominus himself. It's my first time reaching him, so maybe I just don't know how to handle his attacks, but I died 4 times against him before I crashed (never died before him). Yeah, you should be fine for now, so long as you have good enough mana. Clarity isn't a MUST (at least early-on), but it helps a lot, later on. As for Dominus, yeah, same here. I did normal easy, but Cruel, with maxed resist, a lot of armor, 2000 Life... He's just really hard, and it's not really clear what he CAN do, so it's hard to defend yourself. Update: Added Mind Over Matter. It's a HUGE boost to survivability, over just Life Nodes.
