It was a totally a scam from the beginning. Even worse than a normal lottery because there was no prize. This was to be done off of donations of goodwill based on the OP's story.
I don't care what they do with the item now. As far as I'm concerned...

Given past instances of holding the hand out and waiting for someone to fill it, I can't believe anyone actually gave fusings.

A couple quotes from the other thread
"Just looking for someone who finds joy in making other people happy and is able to help me, because if my soul mantle becomes 6linked, I'll most likely be happy for years to come and will not sell/trade it away."
Then this shortly before being locked:
"Honestly, getting that 6link made my day, but obviously if people worry about what i do with it after that it wasnt about helping make my day but about making sure i do whatever THEY want with it?
My totem build is frustrating with all the support gems because of a high mana cost and I'd only use anything i got from selling it towards another build idea anyways.
The people trying to make me look bad are childish, immature, and shouldnt be a part of this community."
It's clear you were intending to sell it and that you went back on your word and betrayed anyone who donated to you.
you just proved he is innocent by this quote, or maybe your just really dense, and dont understand normal human interactions or regular thought processes.
maybe you are paranoid, or you've been hurt by people you trusted before.
either way, u are just butt hurt because of what happened that doesnt even involve you, or negatively impact the community.
if anything what ARPGfan did helps the community, and what your doing is hurting it. plain. and. simple.

why would someone who spent so much money on the game need to scam people? or want to be selfish with his in game stuff? why would someone who spent so much money on this game want to hurt the community? it just doesnt make sense, even if you force yourself to believe it.

Scamming is in fact against the rules and several high profile mirror scammers have been banned in the past.
GGG takes this very seriously.
Im not so sure. Its true they may have been banned, but I dont think it was specifically due to the scamming. For example you are allowed to do cross league trading even though they acknowledge there is a risk [that you could be scammed], they simply let you take this risk & wont ban people that conned you.
Anyway, I thought the OP was only asking people that donated how they felt if he did sell it. How many of you actually donated? I did & I am happy for him to do whatever he wants with it.
From reading ARPGfan's past posts I can see that he really does love this game and that he has his fair share of Real life problems. (not going to name anything specific)
I think there are 10 times worse things then what ARPGfan did with this.
If you guys want to pick on a guy, do your research and find out who your picking on.
READ His post history. He's not a bad guy. He made a mistake, whether it's from stupidity or from being a troll. (Although i doubt the latter) since he is a big supporter of grinding gear games and openly shows his appreciation of the community and GGG.
Just let it go. No one got scammed and it's not a fucken big deal.

but now cross Leagues trading is againsst the rules, your not allowed to trade new Leagues with old Leagues, but old Leagues with old Leagues is allowed and new Leagues with new leagues
That part is irrelevant to the point I am making, the reason for disallowing it between those leagues had nothing to do with scamming.
aha i see, still i would like to ask how people can call this scamming? dont he own the item? didnt you donate fusings?
donate means your giving for free, and this does make me wonder how it can be called scamming.
Think twice.
you think donation and scamming are mutually exclusive? you think nobody who has ever donated money to anything has been scammed purely by definition?

all i see in his post history is him greifing public parties with his frost wall dual totem build blocking his party members from being able to deal damage

Hi guys,
I understand why players may be upset about this situation, but please be advised against giving other players items outside of the in game trade system unless you are willing to permanently lose them.
This thread is now locked due to increasing hostility. If you have any concerns about this please contact us at support@grindinggear.com
