Region lock on Steam.

Hi,

Just wondering why my country is locked out for Steam? I'm planning to get back to the game, but I'd really much rather have the game on Steam for all the Steam functionality that comes with it, like unified voice chat and download speed throttling.

edit: Well, I have just read that GGG will actually have cards at launch.

I'd be very disappointed if I can't access all the Steam stuff because of region-locking. I know I'm not the only supporter who gets region-locked, since I convinced a few friends back then to support the game as well. I kept recommending the game to people I know even if I took a very long break. Please think of all your fans and supporters GGG.

Which country? i know there was a post on steam about Russia not being able to access the page for PoE on steam but that was apparently fixed.

Unfortunately, it isn't fixed for Russian region.
Also was waiting for release on steam, particularly for using more convenient kinds of payment (than paypal or visa).

Hello GGG and fellow players. I'll just confirm that Path of Exile page on Steam is indeed region locked. I'm from the Philippines and I'm not allowed to access the game's page.

As it said in other thread, you can still play PoE via steam:
"http://store.steampowered.com/app/238960/?cc=us - just use this link for install game in steam"
(open it in your common browser, login into steam, press install button, and it will ask to open your steam client to start download).

Same problem here...i am from Russia and ofcourse region is blocked but i can't understand why Steam block some FTP games(like PoE\APB and more)
