Jason said that it's for bump, but it's no the truth.

If people want to alt-f4, let them. No skin off your back. If you think it takes away from the "hardcoreness" or whatever, just take pride in the fact that you don't alt-f4 (but please keep it a personal pride, not one you feel the need to uselessly brag about on the forums).
