No, but seriously, I think the clear solution to this is a tp potion. Something like 1000 charges, uses 1000 charges on use, instant teleportation back to town.

It takes up one of your potion slots too, so that helps.

Then no more insta-logging.

I understand Chris played D2 for so long that alt-F4ing seems normal to him. But it's pretty silly. There is a very small fraction of your player base who are so used to the idea of alt-f4ing(or esc-exiting) that they can't imagine life without it. And the top dogs at GGG are obviously part of this group.

Quite a few people have mentioned this idea for an ingame solution now, and it really seems clear to me that this or something similar to this is vastly better than having such a divisive "mechanic" be considered kosher.

You guys are just making too big a deal about the subject.

I dont even consider alt-f4 to be a real issue, not concerned at all. But some potion like this could be really fun/ its a great idea nonetheless. I like it a lot =)
