now that u are saying u got so high IQ and stuff, why dont u just calculate it out how many possibilities there are for each roll when crafting something.

I'm too lazy to calculate it actually, so I jsut give a rough estimate here

let's say for a helm there are 100 possible mods (50 prefix, 50 suffix) of which 6 are desirable and those 6 are the ones that are top tier. And I dont do prefixes and suffixes separately in this rough estimate

so first of all u need 50/3 * 50/3 amount of alterations to get the blue item u want to begin with. Then u need 98/4 regals to get one of the desired mod with a regal, and for me, I use eternal for every regal here.
After that u need 97/3 exalts and eternals for the next mod
Then 96/2 exalts + eternals for the next one
and the last mod 48/1 exalts + eternals
and in total this comes 153 eternals + 128 exalts + other orbs
and with the ratio of eternals going 4:1 for exalts (which I had, not sure what ppl pay atm), it makes in total 740ex + scrubs
Ofc this is a calculation where u expect the desired result come with the last try, but on the other hand the real numbers are probably even bigger

Still even with these calculations I think it's pretty normal if it takes 500ex to craft something with exactly 6 desired mods
