If you're going through with it, I suggest you delay first payment for at least a month.
You know, just in case, I too have been in the situation of getting a very well paying job and 1-2 months later they went "lol layoffs, bye".
Then again you can get it refunded at any time; but if I were you I'd ask if something as big as a ruler pack has that rule apply to it aswell.
Not once it's paid in full though, right?

No, once it is paid in full he's likely not getting a refund, the refund is only while still in the plan, since he also would not get the "upgrade" himself until he is done paying.

I think what Bermbi and Wraeclastian are trying to say is that jobs can come and go, and in case something goes wrong with this gig, maybe it'd be better to make sure you have everything else wrapped up first, so that you don't risk putting that kind of money out there and then finding out that oh shit, now you're really screwed because of something you didn't expect. Especially if you have debts. What if something happens to the job?
I'm all for supporting GGG, and I'd be glad to see you able to support GGG in this way. I think they're just trying to watch your back. :)
If you're *sure* you'll be okay, then hell yeah, man. :D

My sentiments exactly. Thanks for the translation lol :)

I agree.

I really like you, you're cool and very nice, I'm not trying to troll or be mean, but for once in his life that BerMal dude actually makes a fair point.

It's not debt if I'm paying cash.

It's making a commitment to spend money that you haven't earned yet. Call it what you like, but I call that debt. It's something you should only do for stuff you seriously need. Sorry, i didn't mean to jump on the bandwagon or anything, but financial responsibility is something I have strong feelings about. I've had debtors get out of paying me money for what they owe because they wasted their money on shit they didn't need before filing for bankruptcy, and it isn't cool.

I've made mistakes with my finances in the past, but this game is about the only thing left in the world that makes me happy. I can't begin to explain or describe to you how it does, but it does, and putting most of my extra income towards keeping this game thriving is more important to me than just about anything.
I can honestly say I wouldn't want to be on this planet if it wasn't for Path of Exile, as silly as that may sound to someone who is "normal", or "smart" with their finances.
