PoE End Game And You
While I do agree with most everything.
What I'm more focused on is the end-feel, side of things. Specifically looting. It feels really mundane. Given if you don't trade or have the expense of time, when I say time i mean 3+ hours a day. I can spare an hour or two, but the looting is ridiculous. This game focuses on looting, like the Diablo series, I never felt stuck when I played it. I had natural fun. However on PoE, everything is too randomized. The only way for improvement is if you literally get super lucky or play the trade game. The trade game it-self is extremely time-consuming and not very fun. So for example, I want to get the bringer of rain helmet. The only way I can obtain it is either A) extremely lucky (which I am not). B) spend hours and hours trading and salvaging for currency. (I've spent a good load on my level 83 character on onslaught and have not reach even 1/4 of the currency needed to purchase it) This also proves a problem when you can't find decent rares (a few chaos worth) to sell. People RMT and already own out 30+ EX. I ask myself, why am I playing the game if all I'm doing is working. There is no progression, I get very little-reward. The currency at least to me drops very little. Things that take into consideration: You spend alot of time trying to trade, literally sit there for x interval spamming chat. Spend time checking/posting on forums, checking up on people to see if they are online to purchase or if it happens you are not on when the other person needs to buy. So to a point, you want to feel like you are rewarded and have fun playing a game. But like I said end-game especially looting on a loot-base game does not feel rewarding. |

Here's a universal truth.
You eat a candy bar... yummy! You eat a second candy bar right after. Is that twice as good? Then a third candy bar. Three times as good? So on and so forth. There's diminishing returns and some people get sick of candy sooner than others. How does anyone develope the ultimate candy bar? |

" Because you speak for everyone. I lol'd hard at this thread. Those who cannot progress endgame, or get "lucky" will come to the forums and complain about almost anything. Last edited by Mythicpoe#7612 on Sep 25, 2013, 8:47:53 PM

I think we are in for some big surprises come October...
Who knows what end game will be... "Man, it's like we're fighting housewives and their equipment." - Millennium

" I usually only make it to about level 70 before I get bored and re roll. I beat piety in merc and spend a week or two running maps and that's enough for me. |

The game has a great play style (besides the exp side of things 83+) but the loot and trade systems are garbage because they are trying to separate themselves from other games and/or trying to mimic Diablo to steal their fanbase. Either way I think that the game is built to be ridiculously frustrating at the end. Friends who have played with me quit playing after spending over 2k USD on currency, items, and the ghey ass item enhancements.
This game is a money sink with an extremely high turnover rate of players which allows them to bait players, reel in all the cash they can before each player has had enough. The only individuals that seem to enjoy this game in its "full" extent spend their days screwing people over for items/currency in trade. Douchebags attract assholes. I'm uninstalling today and could care less if they fix anything, they get nothing more from me. Last edited by Shaizo#0587 on Sep 25, 2013, 10:31:08 PM

" Not sure what you are trying to say, I can progress if you mean by "leveling", which will take a godly amount of time and good chunk of luck. Yeah, I don't speak for everyone, most would agree with me however, except for the small percentage of people who plays this game 8+ hours a day, bot, multiple account, rmt. So I'm guessing you are those lucky individuals or people who play a load trading (separate game) and mass farming. Maybe you RMT, got lucky, or play like a bot, (bot even). I lol'd at your statement, but nice try to flame. The entire point is that the progress is not rewarding, its nearly feel non-existent. The looting system is really bad, its like a slot machine. Even crafting doesn't feel like crafting, just more tokens and chance at the slot machine, but I doubt you can comprehend that. Those who can progress and doesn't get "lucky" will come to the forums and try to troll just about anything if they rmt, bot, or play the massive 24/7 trade game. Those who have time to troll the forums must have too much time on their hand. |

" You fanboys ( sadly plus the dev's) call the necessity of trading working as intended. I call it lame and lazy game design. Cover up HORRIBLE RNG with trading a necessity. Bad game is bad. |
