End-game is either leveling as high as I can, or accumulating resources to buy gear. I find the latter more fun.

Upgrades cost around 3-10 exalted each, which all things considered, is pretty expensive. But they should be, it is end-game! A major gear upgrade will improve your character many times more than a skill point. E.g. 10% increased es skill point node, or your chest piece going from 600 es to 800 es.

You have to be lucky to craft or find an upgrade. It does happen, but I am not relying on that. Instead I do what I can to get wealthy. Farming lvl 68-70 maps + piety + chaos recipe + frequent trade.

Progress is made each day towards the price tag of the gear upgrade. One exalted is 25-30 chaos. A gear piece for 7 exalted is 200 chaos. If you can farm 20 chaos per day, that awesome upgrade is only 10 days away. Some days you get a lucky drop and make 50 chaos. The randomness of how much you can make each day is what makes it fun.

tldr: End-game is farming, trading and buying expensive upgrades every 1-2 weeks.

They should do the end game missions after u end all acts in merc u would unlock missions like kill all rare bosses, do all 66 maps, smthing like that. This would give u passive point or bonus to your character. Those missions would be nice but they would have to take some time to end them.
Everything just for making progression to your character cause in late u just exp and exp. I will stop exp by myself when i will get like 85 cause im lagging a little - computer fault not game.

Its an arpg, the idea is to get loots, as far as I am concerned. So I farm. Constantly.

Been about a month since I had an upgrade drop(a friend had one drop and gave it to me, but im not sure that counts)

I did change out a ring to, but that wasnt really an upgrade so much as me deciding to try out a bit more life leech.

I think they have ridiculously over done the rarity of good loot, but I guess Ill just have to farm for another few months and see.

My plan:

1. Get my hands on all these pretty juicy items with 6l and right affixes.
2. Craft or buy (sure buy) 1h mace with 300+ phys dmg flat, 20% IAS, Chaos res and added phys dmg (40+ at least).
3. Complete some of my builds, like regen/life leach/armor tank, 78% chance to block tank, IAoE stun-lock tank (and maybe Vaal Pact tank too).
4. Dump the game cause it'd be to boring to play.

Hey, some people enjoy that.

I disagree.

For me, end game is acquiring, and progressing through maps.

I enjoy gathering currency and being efficient in rolling maps. I have a system that I find works very well from me, and I haven't dropped below level 70 maps since I started doing it.

I enjoy farming, and farming... and farming.

I have a level 75 Marauder, an 80 witch, and my "end game" character, which is my 87 Templar.

A Level 70 map will give me roughly 0.3~0.5% experience, and I don't mind at all.



This is what an ARPG is about to me, and the map system, while frustrating to some, is simply amazing for me.

I understand that 74+ maps aren't meant to be constantly dropping so you can chain them, and I don't mind.

While I do want one specific character that I always like to play and gear, I like the short races. My highest is 40% from 84. I will probably get 100+ dps from that passive point, and then there is gear.

None of my gems are 20 quality OR level 20. In fact, the best I have is 10 quality lvl 18. Most of them have 0 quality. While I can't flip all of them to 20 quality level 1 due to the type of gem, some of them (faster attacks for example) can be once it hits 20. So I can still get minor upgrades from grinding even if I don't find anything good to sell. Unfortunately I am on standard with no solid group so I solo mostly, and my map and currency pool are near non existent since I bought an empower gem and dumped 15 gcp into it.

The empower gem is for an alt I am slowly leveling. Based on how much experience it requires to level the gem, the level of my alt, and how soon the new leagues will be out it most likely will have been a waste since I plan to stick to the new leagues for the fresh economy and ease of finding groups.

So really the endgame for me is hazy at best. I can spend time on my 83 leveling or work on the alt I want to level but just not always in the mood. I could enter in most of the races each week, but I'm not the greatest so when I die, I usually just stop there even if it just began since the overall mood/hype is ruined. One of these days i'll find that expensive drop and all my problems will be solved, right?

I really don't get this. I mean people do realize and understand that the game is incomplete in it's current state right? Hell release will finish Act 3. I'm sure there will be higher level zones in that which will make getting 75+ easier. This is exactly why my highest character is lvl 73. I solo'd all the way. Raped Piety in one-shot and then continue to farm/grind a few more levels and then parked her for the future.

I've since leveled a 63 mara(parked now. may respec FB when release resets his points).
I have a 62 "Shabow" using L.A. with my own build. (you can have fun w/o a Lionseye.)
I have a 62 Duelist who is curently a Fiery Scorned reaver of death.

My next build is going to be Facebreaker. Playing the game this way if very fun. I have several maps collected for after release when there is higher content.

There simply is no point in rushing and getting to the upper 80s right now. It will lead to nothing but frustration...because Game. Is. Not. Finished.

yeah, end game actually starts at terraces normal. its also known simply as "game"

Basically "quit", deciding on coming back. The whole aura thing just turned me off, yeah people say it was a "glitch" I got so use to it... A lot of my builds are pretty much nerfed, I didn't build specifically around it, it was just it was possible so I did it. Everybody did.. Just bummed me out a lot. And farming lunaris2-3 for 2 weeks and finding only crappy uniques, no exalts, 1 divine, couple alcs, and whatever else trash just bored me. Hoping the new patches give me something exciting
