PoE End Game And You

So, what do you guys do at end game?

I like PoE, most fun is probably from 1-60. This is because you are more so exploring, and there is "progression" made.

I played only hardcore/onslaught. Left the game several months back after one of my lvl 80's death. Came back and onslaught was introduced. Was a fun mode, but then once I hit around 80 again, there was absolutely nothing to do.

Character Progression:

I can't progress level wise without investing tons and tons of time and resources to obtain these so called "maps".

Item Progression:
Nearly a month has past since I gradually declined in playing my level 83 on onslaught. I literally can't progress on items, I don't have the best or anything note worthy. My character combined is probably worth 1 ex. at most.

The game offers no way to progress item-wise, crafting is very generic and bland.

A few words to sum up crafting/item progression at 80+. Casino Slot Machine

Everything is too randomized. There's nothing to slowly progress with.

The resource you collect doesn't contribute to what is made believed to be "crafting".

Its another form of randomization and gambling.

These few aspect have nothing to do with skill, or how hardcore, good a player is. It just amounts to a massive un-enjoyable broken-end-game system.

Unless you play this game 24/7, the game dies around 80 for any player. (playing 24/7 doesn't make you good, or hardcore, it just states that you have too much time by that definition)

Others:
Bugs, de-sync, nothing really new to get into.

Magic find is a joke and is unbalanced for anyone outside a few specified builds, e.g. totems.

If the case above, it does not lead to diversity like what the game was intended upon when I started playing the BETA.

That's my opinion on it and hope that the developers do push towards something to make end-game fun.

What is yours on end-game?
Never reached endgame because never traded
i like this game. i mean have you seen how powerful is the barbarian

I maintain that level 80 is the softcap for the game at this point. Anything past that and you're probably just torturing yourself.

Hey, some people enjoy that.

That is exactly the way I play the game. Once I hit 80 (or somewhere there about) I consider that toon done and roll another.
Crafting doesn't exist in POE. Gambling does...and the house always wins.

Velocireptile - I LOL'ed. Which made me fart. I wish the office were empty right now :(

Hardlicker - I had to push the dog out of the way so I could get to the sexy quilt.
I'm playing six hard core characters up in parallel development. I can't advance a character above a character 5 levels below it. Right now, I've got 48/55/55/60/60/60. The 48 is currently being leveled up after dying at 59. I might get to your "end game" by Christmas... but I really doubt it.

I'm having fun. It's frustrating at times and that's good.

I feel that the main problem with the game is that they're not paying attention to the game, and are focusing on what to do to keep players that ruin their own fun happy. Sure, I could level a character to 80 in SC in a week and farm items for other characters to use... I just don't see the fun in that.

What will I do when I hit 80/80/80/80/80/80? Probably quit, if I ever get that far. We'll see when I get there.

This is Right on the money

Level 80, Then just use the character to face rape maps or run with your buds in big map groups.

Other than that build a new toon or grind level 70-72 maps , for loot more than EXP.
Just a sec let me grab a beer...@#*@ Ok how did I die this time

Learn the rules, it's the only way to exploit them.

That's the points where its fun for me. You have your build mostly down and decent gear and time to crush maps. Maps are great because each one if different from mobs to mods. Keeps it fresh.

I don't see how in the world people can farm docks or lunaris for Mf runs allday. No fn idea how that can be fun. D3 was farm act 3 allday. Just the same stuff isn't fun. Least maps are different just MF there. You will get higher ilvl rares which will end up better.

I play to level, ladder and to have great dps and great def. Just crush. Isn't building the best you can make everyones goal. Why else does everyone farm and complain abouts drops allday on forums lol.

If they ever made getting to 100 faster, better have some sort of gay paragon leveling system in place for exp no life competition drive.
for me lvl 70 is endgame while 76 is like 100 lol
Why focus on end-game? I'd rather get awesome at races or build a million low level characters than farm exp mindlessly all day.

This thread implies the natural route of an experienced player is 'end-game' when it's completely false. This isn't Wow :P

Some people don't like leveling up new toons over and over, that's why end game should be improved. There really is no reason why we can't have something for everyone.
What endgame? I consider the other acts that will come out as endgame and the grind to 90+.
