The PoE is for Spork

What really bothers me is what a huge difference there is when you equip/stack on items with IIR/IIQ and just notice how the drop rate is completely changed compared to your normal non MF character.
From very rarely getting any rare item drops or orbs,to certainly getting them after killing any rare/magic mobs.

yes. you understood the point of my thread.

again, it's not about MF Spork: it's about any MF. it's about the need to have MF so you can actually get somewhat rewarded for your efforts, than the nothingness you get otherwise (unless you're very lucky).
Spork - a niche build - is so popular for 2 reasons: it allows stacking of MF, and you can play it with minimal risk.
minimum risk. maximum reward.
the complete opposite of what I believe an ARPG should be.
(MF exists in ARPG as an option, just like trade does. none are in any way required).
Alva: I'm sweating like a hog in heat
Shadow: That was fun

As a low life MFer, I do not risk facetanking bosses with incinerate FP. Maybe he does.
It is cheap though and fireball isn't blue. I'll give him that.

FP.

Edit: I also don't use Searing Touch :)
POE is a constantly evolving game, so expect balance changes, buffs and nerfs STILL!

terrible system that made this anti-fun build so popular

I played my share of builds and you know what? I actually like Spork the most. Was surprised myself.

nearly every other build is standing still and holding down a button, with spork at least I can freely move around, kite some mobs, don't feel like wasting dmg while I curse and can throw some traps or remote mines as I like. Other than that it's nice to play high maps without having to grind gear till kingdom come to be ready for it.

don't judge a build before you play it...

On a second note: spork is basicly the MF Sorc from D2, easy to gear, easy to MF with, and almost everyone had one. And why not? Gear has to come from somewhere, and most builds need some specific items to work and need other chars to farm them for them.
I've been playing since OB started and only recently began an MFer (though classes have started again and I don't have time to play anyway). I chose to MF with dual Incinerate totems because the idea of following a dual Spork build was very distasteful...I don't always have to be original with my build, but hell I'll stay away from super common builds if I can.

Incinerate with GMP and Faster Casting works well enough and keeps things contained; one thing I didn't like about Spark was that they could spread out too far, which would possibly cause you to miss some drops. I disliked the idea of off-screening mobs and not realizing that something good had just dropped.

Anyway, totems need to be nerfed in general...I have survived up until Cruel Act 3 on low life with 500 ES. That's stupid. MF is a pain in the ass too, but I've finally succumbed to it after developing an original build I want to play that requires quite a hefty amount of currency.

I have like 3 sporkers and 1 summoner. All MF.
