The PoE is for Spork
I have lvl 71 sporker. Made me want to kill myself playing that character.
I don't play it anymore, and I didn't get single good drop with her. but I did get Rainbowstrides with my reaver. Oh, well. „I don't give a fuck if it was his tenth anniversary with his goddamn neckbeard...“
„If they think I'm going to let them sweep this pizza guy thing under the rug...“ No mod action. Business as usual. |

So it made you want to kill yourself playing that character, but you played it up to level 71 ... ok.
People are just whining about it for the mere reason that they see everyone else complaining, peer pressure from a vocal minority is the only issue here. The main attraction to dual totem builds to me and many others that like them is that it is reminiscent of tower defence games, but in an RPG. Its an extremely enjoyable build now that I bothered to make one, Im enjoying it very much. I honestly dont get how people can hate, or pretend to hate any particular build, yet they endure playing it for so long, the whole point of this game and the skill system is that you get to choose what build you want to play. If you hate using totems, and have no interest in wanting to play it, then you wouldnt have made a dual totem character in the first place. If all you do is copy builds that you see posted on the internet by others and dont enjoy playing them, then its no ones fault but your own, the complaints about builds are quite tedious and highly irrational. When I respecced to a dual totem earlier and stuck all my MF items I had on it, I got 5+ yellows within a few minutes on a single map. I enjoyed the build and the drops very much. As it was already pointed out, no specific build increases your chances of getting good drops, to complain about sporkers being bad because you played one and didnt get any good drops is just being pathetic really. Sporkers are the most boring spermicidal and annoying builds ever

Flame totems are not muched loved, but paired with a levelled Qual faster projectiles, watch the flames go almost 2 screens. And it passes through enemies too, unlike fireball. The much maligned Infernal Mantle is a must, + that Searing Touch staff.
POE is a constantly evolving game, so expect balance changes, buffs and nerfs STILL!

I made one just to see what the leveling process what like. I didn't care about end game, MF, etc. I wanted to see what it was like being, you know, level 28 and before all of the supposed awesomeness. I wanted to see what it was to really play the build and go through the struggles with it. I made a PS Witch as well, and I figured I would level them up together since they were sitting there at level 5. So my PS Witch is level 38...

" Another one of these posts. Why play a build you hate? Because you have needs. Same reason you work at a job you hate - Because it's supplying you with what you need - money. Same concept. How many other non-low life, non-shavronne's, non FP, Spork, or IS builds are even close as efficient in terms of farming as the aforementioned list? None. Tell me the last time you saw someone using a Nova skill in game. Now tell me why you haven't seen any. " Already played Flame Totem build. They're trash. Lower DPS than incinerate, 5-6x the mana cost, no cool blue flames. Incinerate does more DPS with almost negligible mana cost at the sake of costing 2 gem slots and having a charge time. Then again, Incinerate and Flame Totem are both DPS skills so cast speed is mandatory anyway. And, no, Searing Touch isn't mandatory. Searing Touch's damage is horrible later on compared to a better wand+shield. It's great for leveling but not max damage or max survivability. If you even mention burning damage, you might as well go in the stupid corner and beat your head against the wall. If you're reading this, I'm probably on another year-long ban. Thanks GGG. What really bothers me is what a huge difference there is when you equip/stack on items with IIR/IIQ and just notice how the drop rate is completely changed compared to your normal non MF character.
From very rarely getting any rare item drops or orbs,to certainly getting them after killing any rare/magic mobs. |
