This topic shows why end game D2 was so successful - there was so much to do. So many people so did different things. The possibilities were endless and you could play the game forever.

Designing builds, completing builds, socializing(D2's chat rooms are still the best in the biz).
I just enjoyed making new characters and builds ..and just playing the game 😉

I only played offline mode and mostly singleplayer -ironically with my friends😊
My Endgame was to explore different builds. I was very proud of my werwolf druid build, which i played until 93 or something.
But I have never accomplished to build one char so strong, that he can do the ubers alone.
PVP and the beginning of ladder resets (softcore).

I got to level 98 manually in about 20 days after a reset, though I didn't do PVE long term, only for a few weeks at the beginning of ladders.

I spent thousands of hours doing pvp, mostly telesmite/foh+aura hybrid/wind druid/bone necro.

"Endgame" for hardcore characters has a totally different meaning, and really doesn't even exist....

That said, I retired my hardcore dual axe concentrate barbarian at level 84, after quickly realizing he was beyond worthless in the cow level.

Basically, I just played around with different classes, builds etc, and see how far I could get before dying. Pretty much the exact same thing as PoE really.
