To be honest at first I was kind of annoyed. In the end I feel that it won't affect my gameplay. I will still love and play path of exile.
However annoyed I feel about this doesn't actually magically make it a bad game. Someone told me it was worse than an RMAH. That is stupid, the RMAH actually changes the game/meta-game fundamentally. |

I agree with you git67. I was upset too at first and I still think it's sad that in town, 85% of the footprint effects I see are from Razer (the rest 15% are bloody), but since I mostly play solo, it's only in town that I see them. I can *sigh* and move on.

I think the only problem with the footprints was that others were forced to see them. A lot of the people like wearing them obviously. So maybe the next time there will be a promotion like that make those effects only visible for those who use them. In addition to that maybe add the option to make microtrantsactions of others not being visible to you. I often find it annoying when people who are all shiny make me lag.

I was using hyperbole to make a point. Mostly because I played Madden25 for a little while and was so disappointed with their really crappy product placement; Snickers, Verizon, GMC, Gatorade, etc. It is amazing to me that the Madden Franchise needs in-game advertising, when it obviously barely puts any work into providing annual updates to the game, and already costs $60 a pop. Appreciate GGG being the first to respond to my obvious troll. |
