I honestly doubt that Empower will have anything to do with speeding up supported Gem-Leveling.
I somehow think more of an increased damage effectiveness. Maybe minimal at max level but enough to be interesting. |

its the exp of them gem itself, why do people keep posting about the gem giving exp to player or gems , doesn't say anything about that

As I responded to your post in the other thread, GCP value will rise because of this gem, if the gem is highly sought after. Since it appears that 20% quality grants 100% increase xp boost to the gem, and it takes over 200 million xp for level one, the gcp 20% gem recipe is out of the question. People are going to want to actually use GCP on this gem, and I feel like this is GGG trying to actually make the currency significant again in some way.
