PoE Vs Diablo 3 new expansion
|
[LOL]
I neither want to waste money with D3 nor time with POE. Both are broken. [/LOL] Seriously, I'm off to FF XIV. |
|
" I didnt state it was. " strong logic. You quit vanilla even though its initial presentation and interviews wanted you to buy it (ie broken promises just like 90% of fans were bitten and shat on), and this time around you are convinced they will make it work and its not all hype and lies? nice |

" I will leave that here. " “Demons run when a good man goes to war"

|
" So what was your complaint/objection/rant about then? ...the one that was so important that you challenged Startkabels to respond. Yep, no-lifers will have the same end-game stats. And? " Heh, like millions of others, I bought Diablo III, just because it was, well, Diablo III. Got burned, said so. I'm buying the expansion based on what has been demonstrated to ACTUALLY exist. Big difference. Logic is fine, continue living in the past if you like. |
|
" Actually exist RIGHT NOW. There were things in Beta for D3 that got taken away not so long before release. I am not saying not to buy it if you want to, just be careful and wait a bit after release when the first people can talk about how it actually is. “Demons run when a good man goes to war"

The thing is if the expansion to Diablo will be good, all those yapers will come and play it like sheep anyway. If it will be bad they will yap some more and be proud of they conviction and ideals staying true to one true path of exile. I like PoE more now, but I might like the new diablo despite it's limitations. Diablo is not a bad game it's below expectations. Think what would happen if Blizzard made PoE and GGG made Diablo 3. Imagine what the review of such games would be like.

Nothing exists in the expansion until its released. They can always make changes to it or could be hyping or straight up lieing about stuff you expect it to have.
False expectations are very real. Standard Forever

" And let's not forget who's the master of building up expectations and then not following through (well, Peter Molyneux aside). That's why I really don't get the people who appear to still genuinely trust in everything Blizzard says. Big Blue has had to step back from so many things they said would be in their games that it's mind-boggling how they still have any credibility left in the gaming community. Sure, I get the occasional fanboy. Every company has them: People who will believe in anything that is said by their favourite and never question it. And will defend that company when it fails to keep its promise. I'd be naive not to think that some of those are in fact shills, but not all of them. But this still wide-spread absolute trust in Blizzard's word - from where I am standing, it looks like a mass delusion, where there's a critical mass of people that assure each other that it's going to be the greatest thing since the invention of the steam engine. Sure, there's a possibility that Blizzard might deliver everything they promised. There's also a possibility that I might get mugged today. Both possibilities are, if you take probabilities into account, remote. 12/12/12 - the day Germany decided boys are not quite human.

" i never said anything wrong about no lifers, learn to read or go back to school. enough about that. (i just meant comparing 2 ppl with enough time to max paragon points = all chars the same all over again) I'm buying the expansion based on what has been demonstrated to ACTUALLY exist. --> Give me what you're smoking. " Okay, then please show us some proof of "what has been demonstrated to ACTUALLY exist". I mean, do you remember that awesome first (or one of the first at any rate) video demonstration how boss fights in D3 would play out? Where that group of Barbs fought the Siege Breaker in a cemetery and the SB had finishing moves like biting the Barb's head off? Yeah, Blizzard said that this was how it was going to be. Afterwards they admitted that nothing of this had actually worked, but was entirely scripted. To put it bluntly: They lied to their audience. So, I put this question to you: What do you mean by "demonstrated to ACTUALLY exist"? A video? Have you played it yourself? Do you trust what Blizzard has written in a blog post? Is it a screenshot? My suspicion is that you trust Blizzard to show you what you are going to get. Because short of having a RoS client, you have no way of knowing what actually exists. And I honestly do not get why you have that trust any longer. Blizzard has lied to you before, what makes you continue to trust them blindly? 12/12/12 - the day Germany decided boys are not quite human. Last edited by Avireyn#0756 on Sep 9, 2013, 6:12:36 AM
