Yeah, the torrent is a good idea, but it's not much faster than the download from GGG servers.

Finished and seeding now. For me, I got up to at least l.4 MB per second, so significantly faster than the patching program (which would peak at 0.2 MB/s, but tended to hold closer to 0.05 MB/s) even after the increased size of the torrent.
My client is also showing 170 seeds and a 0.2 ratio for seeds / leech, so people are definitely leaving their torrents on. Edit: The patcher still needs to 'fix' 8MB worth of files in mine, I think. Which is taking around half an hour >.< Edit2: And then restarted without saving my progress? Augh. I guess I won't log in tonight at all then. Just added myself also to the torrent on 100mbit...
I also wonder why GGG doesn't use bittorrent in the client.exe to supply patches... |

Seeing how successful the torrent idea is [around 1,500 active seeders/downloaders right now] and watching it on the forums go from planning, to implementing, to Chris endorsing it himself; I feel a shred of my faith in humanity coming back.
