Character names, where did yours come from?

So I've noticed some really interesting names in-game and in the forums and was wondering where people came up with them?

Mine came from when I was really young. I started was playing a game while my parents were watching TV. I had started with 'Wano' which was intended to be Wanomingo from the Fallout2 game. Midway through creation the TV blurted out 'tipi'. So I stuck it on the end, changed it a bit and it's stuck since. I've been using in every game I play.
My profile name is a derivative of my real name. I used to be called Deranged, but "that person" doesn't really exist anymore; we all change as we mature and grow older... I wouldn't want to use my real name, but until someone else gives me a nick I've got nothing else... so Eselle it is.

My characters all get their names from a random name gen. Except one. My Templar has a really obscure name from the Wheel of Time series... I think the name was mentioned maybe once in the entire series, but I feel it's fitting for a Templar.

I can tell when somebody farts...
"How would you like it if I snuck into your country and did this job over there... and not cash in any of your friggin checks?!! You WONT!! Because you will be right here!!" - Master Shake.
I used quite a bit of different nicks while playing counter strike, one of them which I wish I'd kept, but now everyone knows me as meczor.

I came up with meczor when creating a log in for a hamachi server while talking with some bf2 players on skype. And if you are a bf2 player you know that Mec is the middle eastern team which has all of it's soldiers equipped with silly mustaches and poses. The zor part is something, I don't know what...

It originally came from the movie Kung-Pow. The cow he fought was Moo-Yu. I thought about it for a while and changed it to MoonYu.
The movie Kung-Pow is very funny :)

"A Canticle for Leibowitz"...a book that I can never remember the title of. Rather good though. About how people love war just a little to much.

I wasn't near the book when I first spelled the name. Decided to keep it the way it is now though.
My forum name comes from my first name "John" and "Namikaze" comes from an anime series called Naruto. When I found about Naruto's father named as Minato Namikaze back almost five years ago, I thought, let me be JohnNamikaze in the interweb.
Sometimes you can take the game out of the garage but you can't take the garage out of the game.
