what if we used cast on melee kill instead of CwDT? we could then be able to lvl up the other gems (enfeeble,enduring cry, decoy totem) and at lvl 20 melee kill it has an 88% chance to cast ALL supported spells.. what do you guys think do you think that this would be a better route to go that way we could max out the curses and totem rather than having to keep them at such a low lvl because of the lvl restrict on CwDT?

Well this wouldn't work as well. One of the main reasons is that most of the mobs would be dead. Cyclone/Dual Strike + Melee Splash. Enfeeble, enduring cry, decoy totem or any other skill would become useless. You wouldn't generate any Endurance Charges because there's barely any mobs left over. Same goes for Enfeeble. And decoy totem wouldn't have anything to distract.

This all comes from the fact that when I jump into a pack of mobs attacking with Dual Strike + Melee Splash. If one dies, most likely the rest follows suit in less than a second.

You can probably just keep Diamond Flesh but take the 2 +6% Elemental Resistances instead. Diamond Flesh +12% 1 node while 2 Elemental Resistances +6% (+12%) 2 Nodes

wouldnt work against single tarket (rare mob or bosses)

Ah good point, completely missed this build incorporates gallantry.Ive always felt gallantry and diamond skin are wasted points as you have to spend a precious skill point on the subsequent +10 dex node to reach them.

Anyways-ive improved the build further-but note this is only achievable via a marauder start

basically drop diamond skin, a 6% ele node, gallantry (plus the 2 nodes that lead to it), also drop the 2 dex node that lead to gallantry and diamond skin.Then, drop 3 10% dmg nodes(the 3 near the ranger area), now take all those points and plow them into the 4 points leading up to and including the 15% melee dmg node on the scion start above sentinel, and plow the rest into the marauder dmg start nodes.THe extra point left over is needed to bridge the gap between the 2 forks in the duelist starting point, hence the plus 8% max mana).


this tree achieves(versus the old tree)

+16% melee dmg
+20 srength
+8% max mana
-20 dexterity
-4% atk spd

Worth rerolling for? Hell no, but makes the case for marauder just that little bit sweeter.
little update on mine

level 81 now, going to spec into swords because those nodes line up perfectly with the dual wield nodes

cyclone + life on hit makes you invincible, i havent died since i switched to cyclone from dual strike and ive done many jungle valley, torture chamber, temple etc bosses with nasty mods

need to upgrade my gloves and second ring and replace the mace with a 300 dps sword

easily the strongest build ive ever made with the best clear speed and ive had an aegis aurora facebreaker infernal blow mara

When i get 2 x 2.0 aps swords and a 20% life on hit gem it will be pretty much instant heal from a single spin
Is this build viable in hardcore mode?

I just tried your gem setup for Cyclone and i have to say .... wow

Although my weapons are 220dps (can't seem to get lucky to find better ones) but this setup does heal very well and still does very good dps.

If i could get my life up to 4.5k i could farm Dominus no problem, at current 3.5 i still have to play it safe.
