Hey guys,

Is Act 3 really laggy for you too ?
Everytime I engage a rare mob with any kind of fx its starts laggin really bad, sometimes it will freeze the game for a couple of seconds.

Im already playing on low settings on my iMac (2.7, 8gb memory, radeon 6770) and for example, the final boss fight was literally impossible to me, once I went into the portal I couldnt do anything, screen frozen.

Would be better to play window instead of fullscreen maybe ? Changing from 3.1 to 3.6 maybe ?

Thanks

Changing wrappers might help. You don't need to redownload whole game again, just move content.ggpk from old wrapper to new one.

Also the stuttering has been reported by windows users as well, this is a game fault, but the impact on us is more serious due the osx mmap bug.

I tried to make change the production_config to allow for true full screen. However, nothing has changed. What program is supposed to open that file, and do I just save the changes or do I have to do something else?

Thanks Julus but I have no idea how to do that. I located that ggpk file and downloaded the 3.6 but when I try to copy it wont let me do it.

I just have to say Thank you so very much for this port. It works brilliantly and I am really enjoying the Beta so far.

It's a bit pants playing with a trackpad though. Once I'm home and have a mouse it should be even better.
After the new update, the game now crashes. Here are the Logs I experience if it helps.

How do you mean, do you get an error or something?

For others who need to change wrappers, the Content.ggpk can be located like this:

RIght-click Path of Exile.app and click Show Package Contents. Then go to drive_c -> Program Files -> Grinding Gear Games -> Path of Exile. There is Content.ggpk.

Cmd+C (copy) Content.ggpk file and go to same folder in new wrapper and Cmd+V (paste). The file is around 5.5GB so check that you have enough space.

Open with TextEdit.app. After you are done, just save and close, then run game.

... what is a wrapper, exactly?
hi i use the client for about a day of playing, i get like 4 fps drop in a minute, and i cant play with such things so i just used bootcamp, maybe i'll just wait for the official client for mac, but thanks for the effort and time to make this client, its really awesome if it got no fps drop. :)
Hi Mac´ers (and Julus).

Thank you for making this. I wonder when game companies will take mac owners seriously. Mac sale is going good, while PC sale is awful :)

Anyway, im experiencing problems here as well. Having the new laptop series with Retina display and Geforce 650 1gb DDR5, 8gb RAM.

The game runs acceptable, but like 30min-1hours of game time, The machines starts to run the game slowly (like a memory dump) and then freezes. - And then the only thing I can do is turn off the laptop.

Im running the 3.6 Wrapper with Forced fullscreen option in Wine nn OS X 10.8.2 (12C3006).

Any suggestions of what i might try?

Well, the launching can crash the machine, but once running, there should be no OSX crashes/freezes whatsoever. If you are skilled in unix, try to look at the system.logs from time before crash/freeze and look for clues...
