i just tried and it worked for me too !
guys, give it a try, i think this may at least allow you to play until they find a way to deal with that and come back to us with a good solution :)

Tried lowering texture and antialiasing, also no shadow, still crash. Running on 800x600 resolution too (windowed), still crashed. Yes, my laptop is pretty weak, but it could play Starcraft 2, Diablo 3 and Team Fortress 2 well, does this game REALLY take more resource than the ones I just mentioned?

Also it's only in Act 3. Never happen in Act 1 and 2.
This happens to me A LOT. My setup is far from perfect though, since I'm playing on mac.
But from what you guys are saying, if lowering the config helps and it's a problem based on a lack of memory, I don't really get it. I have 8Gb of ram and the CG has 1Go. Should be enough...

Having trouble installing the game.
Keeps getting this error.

Workaround fix (lowering textures resolution form high to medium), as far as i know, works on 32bit systems.

Regarding the 64bit systems and possible workaround, i really dont know. Wish i could help you guys out. Did you try running the game in compatibility mode or downloading packcheck.exe from this site and running a scan on Content.ggpk file inside the game's folder?

Also some of the crashes people are getting are due to having a specific sound card so they need (for now) to edit the game's shortcut and add --softwareaudio to target field (after the quoatation mark).

Even i doubt that this could be a drivers problem, try installing latest drivers. For ATI users, 13.2 beta 4 drivers are the latest.
