Tentacle Miscreation Need further details

I don't think they pierce at all.

I'm pretty sure that with GMP/LMP they simply miss a lot and the projectiles are small enough, along with whatever kind of hitbox radius the mobs have, that it looks like a piercing effect.

It's kind of hard to tell exactly what is happening sometimes with enough minions and mobs fighting on-screen. Then again, I could be wrong. *shrugs*
I always thought they pierce I mean how else does tentacles hit me through my minion wall.

Hmm, good point there. So I must be wrong about that.

Too bad it isn't easier to get an official response to these things.

edited to add; One thing that does work with them as far as I can tell, are the +physical damage auras rare mobs sometimes have (just in case anyone wants to use dominating blow and/or conversion traps alongside the traditional minions)

Added fire damage works well with the TMs as a support, makes the projectiles look more like tracer bullets as a small side bonus.

Here's a reddit thread (link: http://www.reddit.com/r/pathofexile/comments/1bs7pw/mechanics_questions_about_spectres_auras/) from a few months ago wherein a few redditors tested TM supports and also got a response from Mark confirming what Telvanos noted: that faster attacks reduces the time between attack sequences.

Does it mean that they shoot more during the fixed time?

Here is the relevant info on FA from the thread:

"increased attack speed increases the speed the attack animation plays - their attack animation fires 8 (or maybe 10, I forget the current number, it went through some changes) projectiles, so increasing that speed will decrease how long it takes to fire one set of 8/10 projectiles"

Ok, so ive been using these spectre a lot more often (I prefer them as they can be enhanced with anger and wrath unlike spell based spectre)

Maybe hatred + anger is better?
Since most of us are using lightning spells to trigger EE

If you have LMP on them, Can more than 1 projectile hit a single mob? With Fpulse i know that can but I was told on this, only 1 projectile per volley can hit a mob at a time.
If am reading that reddit post right, than weapon elemental damage works on them... Thats just really op lol...

you'll enhance wrath, anger, and hatred

raise spectre + life leach + remote mine + WED + GMP + minion damage

@mattc3303:
Ah yeah, WED is a MORE multiplier, and goes up to 80%. Though that's only 80% of TM's 50% fire damage, but auras will also benefit.

If going for elemental damage, Projectile Weakness would be better than Vulnerability after Elemental Weakness and Flammability. You'd get 59% pierce chance, 24% knockback chance (all the lolz here), 68% LESS evasion vs. projectiles, and 34% MORE projectile damage (boosting all of the TM's attack, rather than just the physical portion).
