Chat Channels

Hello,

Adding channels for specific profession could be useful.

Channels for each instances (Looking for group channel) *

* This could avoid lot of spamming on main channels when people are trying to find group.

Maybe a low level, mid level, high level channel? This could be easier for peoples to find mates around their levels to play with.

Maybe a trivia channel? When people are bored after a long day of questing, grinding , roleplaying. Could be awesome to relax on a channel that could ask questions about POE Could be used to help people know more about the lore and the content of the game.

This was some ideas i had going through my brain!

Enjoy!

Profession, what is that?!?

I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and presume you mean character class.
RIP Bolto
Would there be beneficial reasons for the trivia or would it be just for fun?

It could be for something that give a rewards in the end or pure fun.

You know sometimes you have to wait 10-15minutes for the group to be ready..

Well that could be a perfect time to do trivia and learn more about the game or just to have plain fun!

World chat is today standard . At start all players can have 5 untradeable items for World chatting and later they can buy it in shop for 5 gold or something like that . And all can turn on , off if they want see world chat or only whispers....
I feel pretty, Oh, so pretty,
I feel pretty, and witty and gay,
And I pity Any girl who isn’t me today!
1) world chat
2) trade chat
3) party chat
4) guild chat

further points may be added later

Hello,
First time poster but I've been following news of this game for a while now.

Like other members here I played a lot of Diablo I & II so my concerns are automated bots that just drop into public games and spam out a message than take off before you can even mute them. Which of course doesn't help as there are thousands and muting them would be a full time job with no lasting success.

I can only hope nothing of that nature will ever happen in POE. Another game I occasionally play is Cabal. It has (at least the last time I played a year or two back), a very fine chat system. Similar to what was proposed at the beginning of this thread. A separate chat for guild/trade/world/game/friends/ etc. all individually mutable. the nature of displaying messages is also very important. Instead of just placing it at the top of your screen it would only appear in a small box which was scrollable, and can be minimized/expanded.

In a nutshell, if you want to skip my wall of text, chat should never interfere with the mood and immersion of the game.

I think Act channels is a good idea, so is the trade channel. New player help channel would reduce load from other channels.
