Europe Server 200/300MS Latency when usually was a lot better.

Same problem, i also play from Italy.
No wireless.
The problem is clearly on the node "ae1.bbr01.eq01.ams02.networklayer.com".

One of the problems, as I've mentioned elsewhere, is the softlayer network, which is responsible for routing to/hosting to the GGG servers. In every traceroute/WinMTR/PingPlot I've see, the intermediate routers show packet loss - considerable in some cases - pronounced jitter and latency. Do a an Internet search for softlayer and packet loss...
Alright, is 3:30AM and my ping on Europe server is still 230-250 with frequent spikes to 700-900.

I have better latency on America server with 190-200 ping, and no lag spikes..
something is going on but nobody seems to care or aknowledge the issue. I am not playing since monday.
Have same problem the last 2 days. Playing from Greece with 200-300 ms and 800-1100 ms every 3-4 seconds. Used to play <100ms some days ago.

Same lag problem to me and my friend, both from italy with telecom (alice).
we can't do nothing but wait for a solution from them?

unplayable since yesterday for me; monday was fine
I am fraz81 friend , i normally play with him and another guy , i just want to add that i work in an IT Support company and seeing as so many people are having the same issue is clear to me
it can't be something related to us.
I have played other online games in the last few days and they are all fine.
Please fix your europe server, not everyone might be affected but for sure a lot of people here in italy are (and also abroad).
At the moment the results are these

they are completely fine , and it seems the packet loss is still present but latency is in line with old weeks usual latency . i dont know what to say , as this is the proof that is not something packet loss or our home configuration issue at all. If anyone has some lights to shed.
Packet loss is always a problem... especially with Path of Exile.

Other protocols and stuff are a lot more relaxed about lost packets.. but it seems to have a much greater effect in PoE. The fact that you're getting 3% packet loss at your first real hop is just not a good sign. It means you're losing packets before they even get out of your network really. From there it only gets worse. It rolls downhill as they say. Although latency might not be bad or whatever, any loss in packets causes re-transmission and other problems that PoE is not very tolerant of.

While the packet loss isn't 100% responsible for the problems, it certainly doesn't help anything either.

Edit: also.. that 3% was 1 packet because of the very small sample size of your data.

I recommend getting a MUCH larger sample size to really get a feel for it. The results are statistical, so the larger your sample size, the more accurate the results. Perhaps get 200-500 packets sent and see what happens.

i'm doing this every 5 minutes :)
i know it was small data but the rate was the same as before when it was 250 ms , that only was my point . i know side effects of packet loss.
But the main problem i 'm talking about in this thread is the unusual high latency of these last 3 days .
Thats it , no compaint against anyone, i just want to help solve this problem.
