Europe Server 200/300MS Latency when usually was a lot better.

Since yesterday and today too i have a response ingame of about 200/300 ms when up until now it has always been around 30/50 ms . I already called my ISP but they don't see any problems but when i ping your login server i have 230 ms and instead if i ping google or whatever outside of your server in europe i get 30 ms.
I also tried connecting to USA and Singapore server , Usa was more or less like Europe (around 200,300 ms) and Singapore well over 500. That's normally ok , but having a ping similar to usa isn't strange ?

here's the examples :
C:\Users\fra>ping eu.login.pathofexile.com

Pinging eu.login.pathofexile.com [37.58.67.210] with 32 bytes of data:

Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
Minimum = 227ms, Maximum = 228ms, Average = 227ms

C:\Users\fra>ping google.it

Pinging google.it [74.125.232.159] with 32 bytes of data:
Reply from 74.125.232.159: bytes=32 time=27ms TTL=55
Reply from 74.125.232.159: bytes=32 time=27ms TTL=55

Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
Minimum = 26ms, Maximum = 27ms, Average = 26ms

Hope you can help cause we are a group of 3 friends and all of us have the same problem since yesterday. The game at 200 Ms for us is unplayable (other than normal difficulty at least.. meh)
Please help.

Hey there,

Can you please use WinMTR to perform the trace routes?

We have a guide here that shows how to use it: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/361292

Cheers
Thanks for your fast answer.
Here's the route.

You're welcome :)

From what I can see in that trace, the 3rd hop is showing packet loss and the 6th hop is showing an increase in your latency.
Based on that alone I'd have to recommend passing these details onto your provider, as they do shows moderate problems which may be related to congestion either in your ISP's network or their routing providers network.
Because of those issues, anything after those hops will also show problems.
I did as you said , and they are working on it , thanks it seems indeed they can help.
Thanks a lot !
Hello , the ISP did investigate , and is still investigating but they already called me 3 times and seems they can't find any evidence , what is strange, is that if i ping
eu.login.pathofexile.com from my home , it gets this IP : 37.58.67.210 wich seems to be a server in Texas , Dallas abd the response time seems to tell me the same.

I'm so sad , three days now that i dont play because of this...

i paste this for reference anyway.

You can't trust what a "Geolocation" database says. What you have to look at are the trace hostnames. the IP listed belongs to the SoftLayer company which is located in Dallas. That is why their block of IPs is registered as "Dallas".

If you look at your trace however, you'll see that the hops leading up to that endpoint is actually going through Amsterdam which is actually where the server is located. If you don't believe me, check again. I'm in the US, and when I do a trace, I go through London, then Amsterdam before getting to that endpoint. There would be no reason for me to route to London to come back to Dallas.

If you have any other questions relating to this, let me know and I'll try to clarify.

Are you on a wireless connection or something?

The reason I ask is that you get 10% packet loss just to your ISP... which is a bad way to start. If you're losing that many packets just getting to the ISP (or through the ISP), then it only gets worse from there as it has to hit each of those servers in the trace on the way to the endpoint.
About Geolocation i think you are right .
I am not in wireless though , nor are my 2 friends. The other guy who joined this post i dont know , but only seems to confirm that this is something completely not related to our pc configuration or home network .
Anyway Telecom Italia is investigating now , but i really have little faith in their tecnicians.

Sorry for my english btw :S
