The real reason why end game is NOT fun and everyone is leaving
This game punishes you for everything.
There is NO reward at end game. Examples: End game is about maps right? This game punishes you for trying to roll good maps (lose currency in the process). It punishes you when you run out of maps (you get a feeling of dread when you run out of level 70+ maps). This game punishes you with -15% exp penalty! Lose hours of hard work due to what? Desync? This game punishes you for crafting/gambling. Try to get a 5L and use 300 fusings? Fusings should be called defusings. Because I've managed to get 0 links many MANY times. How stupid is that? Use 300 fusings and end up with a 0 link. WoW. There is no reward at end game. At least diablo realised this by hanging a carrot in front of players with paragon system. Why can't GGG realise that end game is mean't to be fun. And NOT WORK? The rest of the 'end-game' content will be available along with a heap of new stuff when the game launches in a few months time. Note: Tobes has been saying that it's 'time to quit' since December.
I once declared myself 'gone' from a game once then noticed I was still there about a month later. When I realized that, I deemed myself no longer 'gone' since being 'gone' means you don't come back. Not sure what it means when you decide to leave 5 months ago and still remain up to today. There's a fraction of players who like consistency and predictability: killing boss X will yield item Y.
This game really isn't for people like that. This game is for people who'll do the same area over and again because they know..., a Mirror can drop anywhere, anytime. - CharanJaydemyr |

Path of Exile is not finished as of yet (beta), and more content is slowly being added. The reason there is no "end game" reward is because to date, there is no end in sight. Maps are the "stop-gap" for users who've finished the current plot line. We're aiming to add a new act roughly every 9 month after full release. " I guess the only thing i'm wondering is whether or not anyone will come back by then. I am ok with whatever as long as GGG makes money and keeps this thing going but I have definitely noticed as well, a lot of people leaving. As far as the end game issue, I understand GGG's perspective, the end game has not been finished yet. I think what would be nice though is to pretend like this is a finished product for now as far as the end game goes and fix some of the drop rate issues, so everyone isnt poor. Fix the exp issues so everyone doesnt get frustrated at the slow leveling process. Fix the death exp loss and add some recovery system so people don't quit and never look back. Well I'll keep truckin along in your guys game, I like that it always changes and i'm more patient than most. But I will say I play a lot and have not found anything remotely worth anything. For months and months. It gets annoying but I play the game based on building my char. |

" Was mostly just wondering if this is an attempt to have more relevant information given to people, or if this is more a goal of being able to give valuable feedback about feedback. For example if moos's thread had just been posted, is it too complex to actually get a quality response such as yours, as you would most likely need to check with the main dev's such as Chris in regards to the topics he posted |
